A lot of people don't like her and I never got that. She's pretty passive aggressive, a musical elitist, and she's just generally scary, but for the most part she is nice and as long as you don't seek her out for personal matters you should be fine.
I was a student of Mrs. Caswell back when her Name was Miss Irwin, she is an inspiration to a lot of students. She demands excellence is fair and truthful, kind and challenges her students to be better, she is willing to work with students to achieve thier best as long as they put in the effort to strive for it.
Having her conduct my band (grade 10) this year was not what I was expecting, and at first i was worried we wouldn't do well because it was her first year. She put a lot of effort in, though, and we ended up earning gold at OBA, which honestly i wasn't sure was a possibility. I have grown to appreciate all that she does for the band, and to make herself a better conductor. It can't be easy to start conducting in such a top-notch program, but she is doing well none the less. :)
She teaches grade 10 band now and she's not the worst. She's trying, it's just confusing sometimes because she isn't sure what she's doing.
she's a great teacher, she's really nice and I've learned so much in her class. vocal has been my favourite class ever since i started taking it last year and choir is great. :)
i think she is amazing! shes hilarious, cute, understanding and very helpful!
Alright, I have NO idea what everyone is talking about, sure she might play faves and all but in grade 9 her class was the ONLY class I looked forward to, shes nice, her class was really easy and it actually made me understand vocals. Clearly shes changed or your just prejudiced from your bad mark.
She truly believes that she is the center of the universe and everything revolves around her. Her students are treated merely as pawns in a chess game. Stay on her good side and watch as she pretends to be an angel around you. Get on her bad side and cringe as she unleashes an unstoppable fury.
Very dedicated, easy to fluster, but nonetheless a very fun and exciting teacher. I commend her on somehow managing not to strangle the few tone deaf people in her class, because i know i want to!
Oh yeah... this one has a vicious temper. Vocal music is supposed to be fun, and enlightening. If you can't sing on key - stay the #%[email protected] out of her class!
Best Music teacher i've ever had..... hyper funny, constantly active... hey what more do you wnat fro ma teacher?? she basiically MADE my gr 9 year... without her.... i wouldnt be here singing like this now would i???
i loved havin her as my vocal teacher last yr in gr 9. she was tha nicest person ive ever met in my life. i miss her now that i changed schools, i take vocal at pet but its reli not tha same without her as my teacher. i kinda like tha class less now that shes not my teacher. i looked forward to her class at tha end of tha day last yr.im comin to visit yu mrs.caswell, i miss you so much. take care.
She threw a pencil at me one time. She's kind of high strung for teaching.
shes a very nice teacher to certain students, luckily she likes me :). when she gets mad its kinda scary cuz she spazzes, but other than that shes a good teacher n shes tha nicest person i have ever known, she cares very much for her students happiness.
gotta love your voice and the fact that you dont need to tell people more than twice to get somthing done. Singing/teaching some oasis may be more handy though
She's okay... kinda puffed up, but she knows what she's talking about... plays faves, but I'm one of them... :)
Knows her stuff and obviously loves teaching to continue working on a mat leave!
Oh come on! She's funny! Or at least she tries very hard to be aaand partly succeeds...
Much Love for Dawn. 2nd best music teacher next to Bill.
favoritism runs ramped in Mrs. Caswells class. It is like being taught by a catty primary school student. If her class was 90210--she would be Brenda.
SOOO nice, funny and TALENTED!!Congrats on the beautiful baby!!
maybe if you gave respect u'de get it back time to grow up, how old r u again 50
Bringing your baby to rehersals shows alot of dedication! Congrats on your baby!
petty, whines a lot. Plays favourites. Hasn't grown up yet.
Had her for piano, think she enjoys vocal much more though. Still good I guess.
likes you=wonderful, dislikes you=oppressive bully. overall bad
