I had this him for English, let me just say he has a lot to say and has lots of opinions. On the flip side he is not open to other peoples opinions, which is problematic in , World Religion, History, Law, and English. He is extremely disorganized and frequently looses students assignment. He is rude and instead of approaching something in a nice manner he singles out students.

Yes he does know a lot about what he teaches. however he is a very rude teacher, many students dislike hime when all the teachers at Canterbury are loved. he picks favourites and the ones who are not his favourites he is very rude to them

Very knowledgeable man, incredibly passionate about history and expects/appreciates the same from his students. Gives regular homework assignments and open book quizzes off them. Eager to give guidance for essays, very opinionated and his rants are frequent and entertaining. Comes across as rude at first but you'll grow to love him.

Mr. Defalco was one of my favourite teachers. I had him for grade 10 history and loved him so much I continued through will grade 11 and 12 world history. He's funny, laid back, and would add Beatles bonus questions onto tests!

I had him for geography, while History is said to be his "baby", but he's clearly a very smart and knowledgeable man with reasonable homework policies. I found his exam and tests reviews quite helpful. He wants to help. His humour is a little strange, but don't take offence to that. You can tell he really cares about his students and just wants to be able to communicate with them. It's safe to say that he's straight forward and reasonable.

Mr Defalco was my teacher twice, both times I was an outspoken religious nut. I Loved arguing with him. Thankfully since then I have now become a total skeptic (mostly in part to him). But he helped develop a deep love I now have for history so thanks Mr D.

Lectures in class - learn via auditory. Notes come straight from the textbook. Knows his stuff but can have trouble explaining at a high school level. Interesting and somewhat helpful one on one.

it's weird looking on here and the majority of what i see is positive comments. on a daily basis i hear people complaining about him. he's a difficult marker, his lectures are boring, and he's incredibly rude. just because someone is smart and knows a lot about the subjects he teaches, doesn't make him a good teacher.

mr. defalco is an awesome teacher. he deffinitly knows what hes talking about. i love all the backround knowledge he has, it makes the lectures really interesting. unlike some teachers he'll let you know his opinion and WILL argue it. just be warned, its impossible to win an argument against him!

He brings everything into the classroom... and for that he is amazing. in spite of the social walls most teachers put up between themselves and students, defalco lets much of his life slip out in all its raw wonder. He's also a very helpful teacher if you have serious questions, while still being completely laxed about missed due dates...

Greatest history teacher I've had since FOREVER! Really knows his stuff. Very funny too. For the first time in my life, I actually found history kind of fun. Bad marker tho. Has all these amazing stories about history that make it SO REAL. Bit too biased about his opinions.

Some people may not like his teaching style, but this is one teacher who will actually give you a proper lecture, rather than just reading over notes. He loves to explain things in vivid detail when teaching and I found it extremely helpful in learning all the material.

Great teacher. Learned so many interesting things in grade 10 and 11 history. He was, however, very suspicious of plagerism and whoever I was in close association with in his class was always accused of plagirising on their final essay :( Overall, Mr.Defalco is a very laid back teacher of is very competent with what he does.
