love the shoesmith. hes a fantastic man, and ive had him for 3 history classes 10 through 12. but he really loves the whole lecture/slide show thing. He talks at you too much so its easy for your mind
Google. Honestly, he is like Google. He is crazy nice though, and even though SOMETIMES he talks too much, I appreciate, really learning a lot from him
He's a very good teacher. Mr. Shoesmith is clearly interested in 18th century European history; this what he focuses on. He helpfully recommends major historical works like "Paris 1919" "Citizens".
Easy to do well if you do the work, but his classes can be hella boring! He also tends to be much too easy going at times. Really nice guy, sometimes to a fault. He never wants to disipline students.
he knows what he is teaching! a great teacher, i enjoyed his class. and fair marker too
A knowledgable, patient, and generous teacher for the grade 12 world history course, gives little homework, and fun assingments. Highly recommended for all students going into BA programs in university.
Marks are non negotiable, that is a fact. But he's a nice guy and his classes are fun.
he gives out weird assignments and test questions..so yr mark may come out a little....arbitrarily.but he's soo nice and will let you hand stuff in pretty late.
So his assignments could use a little more creativity and some of his classes will put you to sleep..other than that Shoey is the greatest! Give him a chance and you'll see that he's just a nice guy who loves teaching. I was always happy in his classes, nothing beats his jokes! "Joke of the day...I've met my quota" "My first mistake all semester." "You.are.good!" "We're making history here folks"
I don't understand why anyone would not like this teacher. History is not the most fun subject, but he puts in a solid effort to make it enjoyable. He's extremely helpful as well.
What can I say about Shoesmith? This guy is the man, really. If I had to rank all my university teachers, this guy would be up there with the best of them. His jokes are hilarious. The F word*s*... "Focus" and "Fact" and "Flow." Plus he always picks on the troublemaking kids and the ones who bother him, which improves the experience for the rest of the class. Thanks for the great times Shoesmith.
good teacher and really loves his subject. fair marker and doesn't play favourites. i love his bad jokes of the day.
he shows a lot of movies instead of teaching, and is very boring when he does teach. I loved history till i was in his class
I used to love history until I was in his classes. If h dosn't like you, don't even bother, you'll get the same 3 marks over and over and over. all I can say is thank goodness I had a prof in uni who reminded me how interesting history can be.
jokes so lame that they were funny again... cool person and great teacher... dont forget the "f" word (focus)...
i dont like him at all, he blames a small number of kids in the class for everything and has no clue how to mark work
HE is a GREAT TEACHER!..... loves what he does... almost to much. You have to have patience... gets boring really fast... VERY HARD MARKER... HISTORY = HIS LIFE
REALLY NICE TEACHER, VERY PATIENT AND KIND, bad jokes tho
couldnt control the class, wasnt his fault, but tough marking..! /slackers beware/
sooo glad im outta that class. No creativity, boring lessons, really immature assignments, and favourites. Bad. very bad.
id like him more if he didnt HATE ME and make it obvious
nice guy, interesting and HILARIOUS but tough marker!
Hardest marking(HORRIBLE JOKES TOO!) but makes up for it with good teaching
VERY nice guy. Willing to help. Tough essay marker though
He tries way too hard to be nice, needs to take some initiative
