Mr. Pignat changed my life. Going into his Gr. 12 Advanced Functions class, I liked Math, but never thought I would continue with it after high school. As I spent the year with him, also taking Calculus&Vectors, he quickly became my favourite teacher and my interest in Math turned into a passion and a near obsession, leading me to major in Math in university (I'm now in 4th year taking graduate courses). The skills and love for Math that I gained in Pignat's class make me remember him every day.
Personally, I did very well in his class. However looking back, I remember his class was very tough, our class median was a 70. Sometimes, his questions were just impossible to solve, I remember 1 question, it was the hardest thing ive seen on my life. But other than that, i really like Mr.Pignat. Great teacher, very interesting, really knew his stuff, and as students wanted us to go deeper which is most teachers dont do.
hes probably the best math teacher ive ever had. he really knows what he teaches and is very helpful
He's a hard teacher, but everyone/everything in life can't be easy. Right?
Despite the fact that I was stuck with having him TWICE in the same semester I think he's an absolutely phenomenal teacher. I would have preferred to split up the amount of math but despite the workload I did better in his classes than I thought I would. He marks hard. His tests are hard. But he's fair, extremely helpful, and an all around fun guy to have teach you a tough (and for me, hated) course.
Great sense of humour. People genuinely like him. You get the attitude you give him. Best teacher I've had in high school; I've learned the most from him. (Still hate Calculus!)
A hard teacher, but very clear. I loved the way he organized everything.
He's a good teacher. It's calculus. It's supposed to be hard.
I had him last year (OA year) for calc, and I am forever grateful for what he taught me because it sure helped me out with Calculus at CU this year!!! Thanks!!!
I was in his class when he was a TA. He wouldn't let us listen to the OJ verdict on the radio. Thats what I remember, not the BEDMAS were were learning
He's a teacher who really gets to know the strenghts and weaknesses of his students. He went at the right pace, and only gave us the work that we needed to do.
He's awesome. He's a great teacher, despite it being my hardest class. I didn't expect him to have such a great sense of humour. And the Easter Bunny!
i think u r an ok teacher but u dont make class interesting @ all
