Mr. Martelli really does care about his students. He is a very reasonable teacher, and someone who I trust. He has taught me so much, and I've improved over the years. He is passionate about his teachings. Also as long as you hand in your stuff on time and don't plagiarize( HE KNOWS), you'll become his favourite and will always give you good marks. People often got either 50% (those who slacked and never handed stuff in), of 90% or even higher than 100% (those who hands in all their work, cite)
My favorite instructor! Can go overboard but is generally very passionate about History! As the person bellow said; TAKE A COURSE WITH HIM. ITS WORTH YOUR TIME!
Cool guy who really knows his stuff. Very lenient and is very flexible when it comes to due dates. Since projects are only 3 a term and can be done in ANY way (poster, essay, song, dance, etc), this class can be lots of fun even if you dislike the subject. Easygoing and other than projects, has a very low workload (none like 99% of the time).Test are usually essays. He provides good Uni prep in terms of bibliography's and note taking. If you can take a course with him, DO IT. Worth your time!
Mr. Martelli is my favourite teacher. He's very supportive and encouraging if you struggle with an assignment. You can always go to him for help.
He was my teacher
Great History, and Philiosphy teacher. An excellent teacher, with an enthusiasm for both subjects. Also a straight beast.
I had him for my last year in philosophy and honestly i loved him! He was funny, open minded to opinions, and he had a pretty sassy mouth on him! He is kinda unclear about the assignments but in the end he really accepts pretty much about anything!
The absolute hands down most easiest teachers I've ever had in my life. Period. If you take Hist or Phil 12, you will have a lot of work load, stay on top of it, and you will do fine. There's no way you can get a less then a B, unless you don't try.
Had him for 3 years now and loving (almost) every minute of it :3
People fuss about being forced to think.
I have him for my philosophy class, and he is very... philosophical. He is HILARIOUS though!!!!!!! :) He really understands his students. Amazing teacher. :)
very friendly and he knows what he's talking about. also easy going. sometime vague when explaining assignments though.
Yes he is extremely smart, probably best at talking in circles around people and making them feel dumb. However, his lessons are never really planned, they're just a bunch of rants stringed together, and the workload is over the top, while he often doesn't know exactly how much he's assigned so he k
his passion for history and philosophy along with his care towards his students definitely makes his class worth it. he is an amazing teacher, couldn't have asked for a better one!
If you taken History, Philosophy or both, you might be expecting a combination of worksheets, tests and occasional essay. WRONG! ESSAYS FOR EVERY ASSIGNMENT. Mr. Martelli is a great teacher, although the amount of work probably is one of the reasons why you are so stressed out so much of the time. I
i love him. totally my favourite teacher. he makes me feel so at home in his classroom.
Best teacher I've ever had. He treats his kids as if they were his own, and always does whatever he can to help them out.
I think he takes things too personal, but only when he feels like it. He has the potential to be an amazing teacher, but he takeson way more than he can handle and by the end of the year no one knows what is going on, himself included.
can u ask for a weirder/better teacher? only teacher that rides his bike while monitoring his history mid term and he built a bike while teaching our class once
One of the BEST FLEX teacher. Gives you soo many chances to get an A+. May be scary at first, but as you get to know him...you'll find him a very caring person. He also gives desserts (movie). ^^
i've never learned more from a teacher than him bcuz his passion makes you want to learn. he's also very caring and understanding towards his students. a bit hard but he's one of the best at tech
awesome teacher, really passionate about history and easy to talk to. and he watches Rome. you can't get much better than that.
havent seen him go emohope he goes emo soongood teache hes good but i dont understand half he teaches but still good
Mr. Martelli is one of my 2 favourite teachers. He is very funny and very passionate about his work.
Well, I've had him for a couple days now, and he seems like a really good teacher. Who else would mark a second copy of your work? Haven't seen him go emo yet, but I'm waiting.
I think he is boring and puts me to sleep all the time. Half the class are bored. Have better projects too.
I thought he was a very passionate teacher, but then at times it became a bit much, he's very emotional.
honestly, one of the most caring teachers i have ever met. he is so passionate about him job and truely wants to be there. he really knows what he is doing.
I think Martelli is an incredible teacher, he obviously cares a great deal for teaching and has passion for his course material. He made me want to learn. Besides his rants are fun
Dale's a great guy, he's passionate & caring of his students & each time has a different way of showing things. 2 each student he seems to be different but that's life, I like him.
best teacher you'll ever get, and a great human being...once you hit university, you'll know why
he needs to make more effort in teaching social studies, even though his "thing" is history and philosophy. DON'T TAKE STUFF ON (flex) IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO TRY! i learn nothing.
the most helpful teacher in and out of the classroom
I think he needs to actually teach us a bit more, instead of us reading the textbooks. I like the way he marks though.
finally! a teacher who cares about his students and is passionate about what he teaches! he works us hard but is fair about it. Honours Lib. Arts rocks!
He has this thing for cycling... Not a bad teacher.... very passionate about History and Philosophy...He needs to calm down...he talks as thu he's about to cry.
Mr Martelli was one of my favorite teachers!!! He is such a great guy! He will help you and ask for your opinions and do whatever he can to help you understand.
He is a very good teacher, and he is very inspiring! :)
Very good teacher i woulndt of lik humanities if hewasnt my teacher and its funny wen he yellz out loud or bangs on sumthin *ta ta for now*keep kewl*
Great humanities teacher i dont think i would like humanities if he wasnt my teacher its pretty funny wen he yellz but oh wellz *ta ta for now*
the best teacher ever hes nice and he always changes due dates hes the best
preoccupied with things other than the stuff we're supposed to be learning
It's not always a walk in the park. I learn a lot but my marks have gone downhill.
never had him as a teacher but one time i was walking down the hall and i heard him screaming out his lesson and bashing his map
LAZIEST teacher ever! not good at teaching history..although he knows a lot & is very passionate about history...but he has to calm down...very easy to take advantage of and cheat
well i musta been his fav. he gave me one of 2 a's hehe i still think he is awesome, he has great stories and love the videos, very good teacher
needs to chill, calm down, gives too much homework and never sticks to a due date, pick favs, not tough enough on skippers but hes over all nice
Would make my life much easier if he made a due date and stuck to it, but never the less, hes cool
isn't in tune with student needs and picks favorites
Passionate about what he teaches. Great story-teller!
Er...A little emotional, but only because he loves what he does.
