D. Miller is definitely a mean and unreasonable person. The way she talks makes no sense. She is worse than any other teacher in the school. One day she pulled me out just because I was late, and forces me to stand in the hallway. I am surprised that this virago can be a teacher. I will report her to CBE for her humiliation to students.
I will say one thing and one thing only. She is a mean person regardless of the "oh I care about you" act she puts on. Trust me on this. Teaching wise, she doesn't cover some content and can be pretty vague at times, so on tests, you would need to self-study a LARGE portion of the content. If you self study, you will do well. If you listen to her, most likely you will not do well. She clearly doesn't care or has the patience to teach anymore so please do everyone a favour and retire.
Mrs. Miller is by all means one of the greatest teachers I have ever had! She explains concepts thoroughly, and if you are unable to comprehend the question from there on out, she will find a different method of explaining it to you. If you hear that Mrs.Miller is mean, that is very untrue, that is based on a bias of a student who does not show respect to her. Clearly, if you continually show disrespect in her classroom she has the right to say whatever she pleases. 10/10, love Mrs. Miller!!!
A teacher that goes well beyond. She is thoughtful and really cares about you if you at least try to make the effort to learn. I don't understand why anybody would complain about her, unless they honestly didn't care about the class.
Hands down best chemistry teacher at swc, and probably one of the best in the province. Very wonderful woman whom is very intimidating at first but is the most kind and genuine person. Genuinely cares about her students and is willing to help anytime. Will definitely be missed when she retires.
Had her for Chem 20 in summer school and it was the most enjoyable class of my high school career (I graduated 2 years ago). She would usually let us leave early so that if you need extra help you can stay behind, and I'm sure people who needed it found the extra one-on-one time very helpful. I loved the quick pace and interesting lectures.
she does not explain anything and expects us to know everything and doesn't tell us what to study and doesn't post answer keys so how are we supposed to know if we are doing it right???
She is the best teacher I have ever had (I had her for science 10) and it was truly a pleasure to have her as my instructor last year. Thank you Ms Miller, teach me Chem HL next year please :D !!!
Initially intimidating, but the sweetest lady ever (bless her soul). She cares about more than just your grades, she cares about you as a person, and you can really feel it. The most helpful teacher I encountered in high school. If you get her, you have been blessed by the science gods. Don't be afraid to ask for help! She wants you to be the best you you can be. Enjoy her while you have her, she's an amazing human.
Ms. Miller is one of those exceptional teachers who bring out the best in students. She can be very intimidating but once I got to know her she was extremely fun and easygoing. She has a great sense of humour. She's extremely dedicated and provides 'next level' assistance if you need it. I
was extremely lucky to have her for an instructor because even though she is a hard marker, I was able to learn from my mistakes. She is truly amazing and I couldn't ask for a better teacher.
Give this woman a $10000000 raise
To put this straight up there, if you got Mrs. Miller, expect to improve in every aspect of your character. She DOES seem a bit intimidating but you are seriously IN LUCK if you got her! I wish you best of luck in her course but you won't need any because SHE IS THE BEST TEACHER ANYWAY :D
Is initially an intimidating character but she is someone you will love for her dedication and knowledge. She is a great instructor that provides exceptional help to students. By far the best chemistry teacher I have ever had.
amazing teacher, i struggled with her class but she was always willing to put in extra time to help me and made sure i passed her class by the end of the semester. her tests are hard and a very hard marker but I'm glad i had her because i learned from some past mistakes so hopefully they would reoccur. I'm glad i had her as a teacher, she was very motivational and a sweet teacher. your very lucky if you get her for chem or even science 10
Ms. Miller is absolutely the BEST science teacher I HAVE EVER HAD. She is an amazing teacher, and she knows so much. If you need help, she's always really approachable. She marks incredibly fast so you will actually learn from your mistakes rather than carry them over to ur next assignment. She's a kinda hard marker, but ya'know, if you actually do what she tells you then it won't matter. If you have ms. miller, YOU ARE IN LUCK BUDDY BOY/GIRL.
If you have Mrs Miller, ur lucky. She might seem scary at first but soon u realize what a fun and nice teacher she is. She is sometimes strict in her marking, but that's ok, just pay attention in class. Saying that, she usually teaches using lectures and blackboard diagrams. These lectures however are far from boring. She always finds ways to keep you engaged. If you ever need help or clarification, you can just walk up and ask her, and she will surely help you.
Mrs. Miller is rly scary buuuut if you get a class with her she's honestly one of the chillest and funniest teachers ik :))
She's veeery funny, caring and smart!
If you don't have a class with her, it may seem like she's scary, but believe me.. .She's sooo nice and funny once she starts teaching. She understands her students too! And she has the best stories ever. :)
She's definitely one of the best teachers I've ever had. Most importantly, she understands students and is willing to help anyone regardless of time and place. BEST TEACHER AT CHURCHILL
Ms. Miller is amazing at what she does whether it's for biology or chemistry. Sure she comes off as scary at first, but her awesomeness becomes apparent after about spending 5 minutes in her class. She has a great sense of humor and gives interesting lectures while always keeping the class entertained and focused. Definitely one of the best teachers I have ever had.
Shes an awesome teacher. She KNOWS WHAT SHES TALKING ABOUT unlike 90% of the teachers in this school.
Coolest, nicest teacher ever! Very helpful if you ask her the question and very friendly. Made Bio IB fantastic!
Had her in summer school. Great teacher who explains things very well and makes sure that you do good on tests and stuff. Make sure to be nice to her or else she'll get mad.
Great teacher!! Teaches very well. She is nice helpful and goes over the information very well. Also is a fan of open note unit finals which are always nice...if your annoying in class or rude she gets mad though...but thats your fault not hers lol
Simply amazing, she is honestly the best teacher I've ever had
Increadebly mean but kind and loving, great teacher that is always there to help. One of the best teachers i ever had in my life. Too bad that u r retiring :( lots of fun
Mrs Miller has a way of being really mean, in a really loving way. Even though she yells or lectures students, I think most of us get that shes doing it becuase she really cares about us haha. Anyways she has got to be one of the best teachers at Churchill and she made Chemistry fun.
excellent teacher. very helpful, and a great personality, she is very kind and knowledgeable. My best teacher
she might be a good teacher, but every time i've encountered her she has been very very mean.
Mrs. Miller is freaking amazing...great teacher, and a great person. I graduated from Churchill a few years ago and still remember her fondly.
Incredibly kind and helpful. Always willing to have a laugh with her students as well as help them out.
Wonderful teacher, extremely helpful and supportive of her students. Best chemistry teacher.
She's an awesome chem teacher. Great attitude, and very clear with her teaching material, I actually learn in her class.
Best chem teacher ever, great sense of humor, works hard to help students...
When she subbed in my class, I learned more that day than the entire rest of year!
Willing to answer questions, even those beyond the course.
belittles nonconformists/those who don't meet her expectations
