Ms. Carey is a great, nice, and helpful Grade 9 drama teacher. She does seem to pick favourites toward the "artsy" kids who are planning to take her drama courses throughout high school. Ms. Carey is highly knowledgeable but disorganized and slow when it comes to marking projects and handing them back to students. I will warn Grade 9 students that plan on screwing around in class to get the art credit that she wont let that pass and will fail you if you do not do work.
Ms. Carey is an excellent teacher and in fact is my favourite teacher I have wet had. She is a kind and empathic person and yearns to help you in an way she can. I will admit Carey does get a little stubborn and crabby sometimes but don't we all? She's only human after all and if you can be empathetic to her regarding that then when you are struggling she will be lenient with you. She is very fair and contrary to claims she does not show favouritism.Be a kind and reasonable student,it'll pay off
I really, really wanted to like Ms. Carey as a teacher. However, she was very prone to favoritism, and, especially in music theatre, is quite harsh on her students but claims she is only "intense". She obviously knows what she's talking about, but it can be hard to learn from her.
Carey is very knowledgeable but at the same time, she plays favorites. She is a great help though with other students and defiantly gives you great acting advice. Ill miss her so much.
Ms. Carey was a pretty good drama teacher. Seeing as I had taken acting lessons before hand I actually have something to compare her to for my opinions. The course was easy for me, since I already h
shes lazy and always unprepared. she is very unclear with when things are due
Ms. Carey is AWESOME!!! Friendly, caring, supportive, wise and knowledgeable, clear, creative, fun, interesting... the list goes on and on!
