When I was a student at Assumption High School, Mr. D'Amato was an amazing teacher who understood his students and made you feel that you are normal and its okay. He got involved in his teaching and wanted you to enjoy and understand the subject of what he was talking about. I will never forget him and will always be one of my favourite teachers at Assumption High School! Class of 1997.
I don't know what ever happened to Mr D. I heard he's in Niagara somewhere but now that I'm a parent I wish I could say hi and thanks. I remember his football speeches and how he wanted us to be winne
Last I heard he was in Niagara Falls. A second cousin spoke about him with such high regard. Glad to see a guy who taught me and coached me is just as special to another generation. My best D. NH 1994
Back in 1983, Claudio was substituting at the original Bishop Ryan High School and he had the gift of seeing every student's potential, he made my final year of school a very positive one!
I'm 37 years old now, and STILL think about the many lessons, both curricular and about life, that "Mr. D" taught me! Thank God he was my teacher at St. Ignatious of Loyola in 1984!
