I really enjoyed his classes. He was a great teacher. Every student in my class had respect for him.
One of the greatest teachers ever. I remember in the early 80's when he lost his license driving the Rabbit and when Linda came and he was "inspired" to have his brother (I believe, the hairdresser) shave part of his hair and dye it purple on the side. Ah, the 80's. Most notably inspired me to get a good stereo. Always loved his turntable that floated on a bed of mercury!
i had mr pereira for grade 10 english and i loved his class i wish i could go back lol
I had Mr. Pereira for grade 11 english and I loved it. He is a tough marker but he made me love Hamlet. Luckily I have him again this year. I hope this year english will be as good.
Pereira suffers from small man syndrom and feels the need to pick favourites and seem like he is high and mighty. When someone stands up to him, he does whatever he can to discredit or humilate them
mr. pereira is the best teacher i have ever had in my whole educational life so yeaa
From an old tall aging athlete from the dominant years at Central. 1992 strike year grad. Thank you for understanding that English isnt for everyone. You meant more to me then you thought.
Inspired my decision to go to U of Guelph and major in Enlish. Chris was a major inspiration in my decision to become an English teacher. He made me think 'outside the box' and today I try to emulate that in my own classes. Chris is one of the best!
I had CP back in 1982 and he was a great teacher back then. He was outside the mainstream and related to kids on there own turf! I won't forget him using music to relate to english. Only hope he has stopped singing Fire and Rain at any assembly.
Without a doubt the best teacher I ever had -- and someone who made me work harder for myself.
Very good teacher... but a bit awestruck by the beautiful and the popular. This doesn't seem "in keeping" with his personality. If you were loud and in love with yourself he probably noticed you! I was neither, but he still taught me a lot!
Mr. Pereira hurt me a lot under the pretense of being a good teacher. The fact that I completed an English degree is despite and not because of him.
A teacher that should never retire. This man is a person that will change your life if you ever step foot in his class. Though he is a hard marker, his class is worth taking the time to get things right. He's definitely awesome
CP is deffinately the best. He threatens because he loves. Gosh did I not like him the first time we met. He grew on me. Fear did it. He is a great teacher - it will be doubtfull that we will ever see one like him again.
I was one of his quite students, But he was an AMAZING teacher, his teaching style is a bit different but effective!! Thank CP!!!
Its been close to 20 years since I was in his class and yet, I can remember the timbre of his voice and the passion of his committment. One of the best!
A bit disrespectful to his students which makes it hard for a person like me to respect him. He takes jokes too far that weren't funny to start. Not cool.
He gave me passion for Atwood, and he's an all around great teacher, no matter what anyone says.
lacks self esteem to deal with all types of students
I have an English degree because of him. He makes an impact. Hats off to my favourite teacher.
This man is the other reason I became an English teacher.
extremely challenging. great guy. wouldn't be where i am today without his influence.
