I encountered Chris Knock years ago, and am still troubled by the experience. Humorous and entertaining, sure, but also vindictive. Interfere with his point-of-view and he will remember and respond. I currently teach university, have multiple advanced degrees and interact with 1000s of students. I honestly can’t understand why someone teaching high school wouldn't be anything but supportive 100% of the time. We are all prone to making mistakes, so I sincerely hope that he’s improved.
Knoch is not the sharpest tool in the shed and he is certainty not an academic. He is not very well organized and greatly lacks the command of the subject material being presented. I had Knock in grade 10 and he got with BS because the students in our class didn;t know any better but when I had him for a grade 12 class it was obvious that Knock didn't know what he was doing. STA is really not a strong academic school and marks are given out for virtually doing nothing- very low standards.
Mr Knoch was an okay teacher. He could have been more helpful and/or encouraging. Not the greatest teacher in some aspects.
Chris Knoch was the worst teacher throughout my grade 12 experience. He gave me a grade that I did not deserve which resulted in 2000$ for my scholarship down the drain. Because of a 75. Thanks Chris
I was really excited to hear that we were going to have Mr. Knoch, because it's obvious that he's a really smart man...he spent our entire first week talking about his theories about teaching & it all went downhill from there. It makes me think that he's insincere because he doesn't seem to take teaching seriously.
Knoch likes to talk (that rhymes!). His lessons are interesting, but I'm not a fan of how he demands total silence when you're doing seatwork.
Mr. Knoch is an awesome teacher. He talks to you like you're equal to him, and he has some incredible stories. clearly he knows what he's talking about because he rarely goes by the teacher's manual. his lessons are structured and informative, but sometimes too much talking and not enough writing ... but nevertheless an amazing teacher and an amazing man. i loved your class mr knoch keep it up
The best teacher I've ever had in my life. He's the reason iw ant to become a history teacher. He talks to students like their people that he's ahving a conversation with and not like they're inferior.
Mr. knoch is a great teacher. His classes are always very interesting. He goes above and beyond what most history teachers do in class. He always has an interesting lecture and class discussion prepared. He is not an easy teacher or marker but he is fair and interesting. He is also an extremely nice guy and always smiles and says hi in the halls.
BEST TEACHER EVER! although he taught a joke class (civics) i loved going to it because he made it fun and interesting, i actually wanted to learn which is what we did in the class, its a shame we had a split semester with careers because that was the biggest waste of time ever. i would have rather stayed in civics. mr knoch actually cared if you do well and if your happy im so glad i had him and hope i have him again in the future.
Amazing history teacher. I just wrote the Ancient Histories exam today. It was a reasonably dificult class, but Mr. Knoch made it so much fun. One of the best.
Mr. Knoch the reason why STA has such good school ratings..
I loved mr. knoch's classes, always so informative, although he was a hard marker, but he prepared you well for university. i always left his class with a smile
Not only was Mr. Knoch a fun teacher, he was also an inspiration! Paying attention in his classes really paid off in university!
Mr. Knoch was my grade 9 geaography teacher who was a hard marker but amazing! I'm in grade 12 and stil talk to him! He is an inspiration to all students
Mr. Knoche is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He's really nice and he makes history interesting with lots of discussions and jeopordy.
great teacher. Altough geography is a joke, his supremo jeopardy games were the best.
Amazing history teacher will prepare you so well for university!
