I generally really like science but I really did not like Halinaty's class. He never really taught anyone. He just basically gave us a textbook and we taught ourselves at home while he was either on his computer or talking about nonsense, wasting our class time. The way he marks is absolutely ridiculous which costed me some mark. Not to mention that he was horribly biased towards certain kids in the class. I hope I never have to get him again. I had too many bad experiences with him that year.

He is very nice and personally I had no troubles in his class but if you aren't good at learning from a text book i strongly suggest you switch.

Mr.Halinaty is quite a nerdy, stereotypical physics teacher. He's a nice guy and he means well, but his teaching method is un-orthodox and quite primitive. The way Halinaty teaches his class is by doing a thing known as a Flip Class. A Flip Class is Fancy way of saying teach your self. This is obviously a terrible idea due to the fact that physics is an extremely hard course to teach yourself in. This is the major reason Mr.Halinaty is a terrible teacher in my humble opinion.

He was a good teacher!I may have thought otherwise at the time but I still remember like everything I learned in his class a year later!I did have to ask a bit of questions for clarification but its academic level. That, in my opinion is expected.Don't see why people don't like him.He is a very intelligent, kind, fair teacher. He was always VERY helpful to help you understand consents especially after school,on his own time.Participate in class & on his googledrive stuff &you'll have a lot of fun.

It took him 2 weeks to hand back a 20 mark test, and practically the entire semester to mark our labs and final project. He doesn't teach you, he just tells you to look over the information yourself and then "discuss" is later in class.

I have to admit, he doesn't have a good rep. but other than a few issues (like the fact our light unit was sooo long and we hardly did any bio.) he was okay, he got the job done and i feel like i did learn alot :)

I had this guy maybe 8 years ago, and he's one of the teachers that remember the most. The guy had fun projects like making a model of a cell using food. That and he likes Dune!

Okay science teacher, but awful person in general. After he volunteered me to do the blood drive, he made me stay after school for 2 days to catch up and wouldn't help me in class to learn what I missed, I guess volunteering is a bad thing. GIANT NERD.
