he's a nice teacher..heard he's retiring this year..will miss him!
It's true that having a bright background in Math will lead to a 90 or more. But it also really goes down to how hard you are ready to work. If you do the hw everyday, you will be guaranteed an A.
Go to his class, you'll get marks for participating. What more do you want in a grade 12 math class? He's a very nice teacher, and his notes are very clear. Just read your textbook prior to class.
fields is cool but he speaks in a monotone voice all the time so its hard to listen. if u want to do well study and learn on your own. i wish hed put some energy into his speech
picky on marking tests, hard to understand when he teachers, but his tests aren't so bad if u do the hw.
One of the greatest math teachers ever met at leacock --- I had him for 3 classes and got more than 90% in each of his class. His tests are really fair, all you need is, do the homework.
Mr. Field is a pretty good teacher. But his classes are usually boring, not that classes are suppossed to be fun. But it wil be great if he went out of his way and kept things interesting.
For those that don't like or are not good at math, he is a nightmare. But for those that work hard and do well, he's a great teacher. It really depends on what type of student you are.
I couldn't exactly understand the notes I took until after I read all the textbook pages. Mr Field would teach while we took notes, and if we didn't copy fast enough, he'd erase the previous notes.
For those who're relying on the teacher to learn, then Mr Field is not the way to go. However, if you can study by yourself, and is strong in math, then you will find Mr Field to be a very nice person
I had in for gr.9 math....lets just say it was a nightmare...i got nothing out of his class except bad headaches. he did nothing but yell all the time...he didn't teach me much...
Possibly the worst math teacher i've ever encountered. He teaches you how to do the homework the day after you were supposed to do it. much extra help needed for everyone
Great teacher. Goes above and beyond what's in his job description to help students, and cares about their success. One of the best math teachers I have ever had. Kind and caring
Mr. Field is a very nice guy. But the problem is that he cannot teach...he does not explain anything. But a very nice teacher
Personally, it wasn't possible for me to get much out of his class.
Very nice, understanding, considerate person. Good teacher. Tests are fair.
Well organized, easy to follow, marks a bit strict sometimes. But be nice to him, if he knows you are working hard, you will get a good mark in the end. One of the best teachers.
one of the best math teachers I have had in Leacock. He is really nice and helpful. Very clear notes too.
HAS TO LEARN THAT MATH IS ABOUT MATH...NOT ENGLISH...STILL A GOOD TEACHER AND PERSON
Omg..this is the teacher who sends at least 2 people to the office and yells"STOP TALKING" at least 10 times everyday in class,my average fell from 92 to 70s...
Mr. Field is a really nice teacher. I had him for 2 classes while I was at Leacock and got good marks in both his classes. He does mark a bit hard though.
Overall a good teacher. though he sometimes crams lessons into very short periods of time.
A truly great teacher. Has concern for his students. Awesome chess player too. Very well organized, but a little hard in marking. nice person
