Mr. Cheong is an amazingly funny teacher, you got to give him that. Makes many jokes, teases students in a joking manner, and overall seems like a pal rather than a teacher. But when i actually had him for nah, i honestly didn't enjoy his class that much. has favorites and is very obvious about it, hard tests, spends most of the class with irrelevant info not relating to lesson, and homework often has questions that weren't really even tought in the lesson. i clearly was disliked by him likefuck
Best teacher i ever had!
Best. Teacher. EVER! So nice, funny, and just generally fun to be around! Very knowledgeable in his subject and will re-teach you as many times as you need in different methods until you understand. Uses textbook very often and assigns tons of homework, but honestly, he doesn't even care if you to finish it all. I had such an easy time in Math the year after having him because he honestly teaches you so much! Overall GREAT TEACHER!!
Cheong has the most amazing personality you could ever come across... he can relate with anyone and knows how to make you laugh and make your day 1000x better. He can be challenging sometimes with his tests and homework but honestly, it 100% makes you understand better and become better in math. Knows how to make the class laugh, work and overall prepared for life. He's such an amazing teacher/person that you can't even get mad when you f up his tests.
He is the best math teacher I've ever had. He explains really well, he's funny, and he's really chill. If you get him you will have a fun math year!
I don't understand how anyone can not like Mr. Cheong!! He likes to joke around and he swears.People who say he's rude. Come on we all know he's joking XD When you need help, he helps you no matter what. I remember him explaining a question to me 3 times because I was confused. He's super patient and wouldn't make fun of you for asking a dumb ques. Math class is actually enjoyable because of him. One thing though is that he talks too much about other things so he can't finish the lesson often.
In terms of teaching ability, he's better than most teachers. I have not been in this position myself, but I've heard from many students that he spends lots of time helping you if you are in need of it. Aside from teaching, he's great. He's more like a friend, rather than your math teacher. Tells a lot of funny stories, but also gives tons of life tips.
so far, Iove this teacher and so does my child
OH MY GOD HE IS HILARIOUS. I love him as a teacher and I'm really lucky this year to actually have him. His class is super fun, his ways of teaching is really clear. But if you are one of those really chill person who hates swearing then hes the worst guy you can ever get. But for me, 10/10 would recommend.
very good and funny math teacher and hes also really cute ................... but if u have him dont be afriad!! hes very funny and ncie and understanding and an amazing teacher
Awesome teacher best teacher I've ever had he's helpful and nice.
One of the things I love about Mr. Cheong, is that no matter how many times you ask him a question about a difficult question, he's gonna help you find ways to solve it that just sticks with you. He made math class so much fun, I actually made efforts because he got me so pumped up about learning math. He knows how to put smiles on his student's faces, and I'm gonna miss him after I graduate, one of the best math teachers I've ever had. <3
Sometimes he just needs to chill out and realize he's not always top priority, but he can be helpful sometimes as well.
Mr. Cheong is like the best math teacher in Moscrop. He pushes you really hard throughout the year and gives hard tests but in the end he's doing his job right and thats what matters. Motivating kids to give it their all and succeed.
Mr. Cheong can be pretty intimidating at the beginning of the year but don't believe anything bad about him. He's a great teacher and an even greater human being. He makes math interesting and he makes you work, but for good reasons.
Mr. Cheong is awesome. Although we all have to hate him because he makes us work so hard. But i've never learnt so much, and laughed so much in a math class.
he is a hard teacher but i learned alot from him. cheong made math interesting and he is very wise not only about math. he is one of the best teachers you can ever have,
At the beginning of the year when we got our schedules, I tried everything I can to get out of his class because of the bad things ppl say abt cheong. But after a year with him I swear he's the best teacher ever. He's so funny and he shows us music videos that he and Chang listened to when they were young. I would miss him so much after grad :(
I can honestly say that he is one of the hardest teachers I have ever had. His class is by no means easy, but you learn a ton during the year. After having completed his class, I feel that my math skills have greatly improved
Mr. Cheong is super cool and I love his stories about his family lol.
He made math WAAY more challenging then it ever was before. Even if we goof off in class his lesson were hard and from a website. His test...well let me just say very difficult. He does have his favourites and picks on the struggling students until he gets an legit answer out of them.To sum it up he made my year a nightmare and made me see math as my true enemy.
Mr. Cheong is one of my favorite teachers and made my gr 8 year really fun! He interacts with his students in more than most teachers and there's no way you can't pay attention to what he's saying, and I mean that in the best way possible. We hear stories of how he makes the older grades CRY but in gr 8 and 9, he's really fun.
Mr. Cheong is hilarious but he spends 95% of the class talking about irrelevant info such as his crazy University Initiations. The last 15 minutes of class his rushes through the notes, skips ahead even when people say they aren't done with the notes. He marks difficultly but doesn't make much effort to help out his students. He often sends them to Mr. Young. If you take Math make sure you get Mr. Young!!!
Mr.Cheong is my least favourite teacher at Moscrop. He has favourites and picks on only certain people in his classes. He can be incredibly mean when he's not in a good mood. he's a terrible teacher
Can be hard at times, but will spend time if he knows you want to learn
really cool guy, but hes pretty tough, if he says 'its an easy test' itll be REALLY hard, but if he says that its a hard test, itll be REALLY easy. lol. n just keep on his good side and dont talk or text during his class, you will not only get in trouble, but you will get WAY behind in things...
his tests can be pretty hard but what can you expect from math, it'll always be around the same ballpark for any teacher, his lessons are easy to follow although he uses Young's already-made notes but it is mostly clear. my favourite parts of class are his hilarious stories he tells. nice way to break away from the stress of math and lesson.
Honestly, he's a great teacher if you get to know him. A year later after you dont get him you'll wish you had him. His tests and quizzes are hard so he can make us understand, and his notes may not be the best sometimes, but its way better then other teachers (Besides Young, and Chang). He tells hilarious stories and gets offtrack which is pretty fun to listen to. Teaching-wise, he's actually great, though it may be hard.
how can you not like mr. cheong? thats my question haha hes such an awesome guy im not even in his class anymore but i always visit him when i have free time
Cheong takes the time to really get to know his students and his class is amusing to say the least. His stories are fun for the first few weeks, but then it gets frustrating. We could have finished the curriculum so much earlier if he didn't get distracted so easily. He requires reminding to stay on track with the lesson.
He's a cool guy, but wastes half an hour on his jokes. If you don't understand one thing in the class and he moves on, it gets confusing VERY fast.
Cheong has been really keen on repeating to us his love stories all the time and some times we have to stay after the bell just for him to scramble though all the notes
He's an okay guy. Tries to draw us in with his stories. Can be a bit of a bad mouth but people like that I guess. Gives good explanation kind of when done with individual attention. Can go a bit fast, so its a good idea to study ahead or something or ask a lot of questions afterward.
very nice and funny, but i don't think he's the best at teaching compared to some other teachers from my experience. sometimes he's confusing and very hard... should show more detailed steps and spend more time teaching the lesson
really good guy... friendly, tells great stories about his life and family in the beginning of each class... makes you feel like you're his "friend". he's interactive when teacher. answers all questions before moving on. lectures are easy, tests are extremely hard. i heard it pays off later cause his mini quizes are hard as provincials so it gets you prepared.
Easily the best math teacher ive ever had. If only actually did good bein white and taking math 2 years ahead.
real good teacher. JUST TOO HARD LOL but i can learn easily in his calss
Really tough with math, tells good stories, sprays people with febreeze
phenomenal teacher....lectures are clear as are expectations...tough but best teacher ever
