I am so glad that I had Ms. McCargar for bio 12. I heard that the other bio 12 classes did not even dissect the fetal pig! I was really prepared for first year bio courses and got great grades!
OMG! I donated blood for the first time today and I already knew my blood type from McCargar's Bio 12 class. It was nice to learn something practical in school.
She reviews daily, plus I kept ahead in my reading. I found it challenging, but I managed to do well in biology 12. The highlight of the semester was dissecting the fetal pig as it reviewed all the body systems.
I had her for Bio 12 and most of the time, you just sit there and listen to her talk as you fill in the blank notes. She isn't the best teacher, but that's probably from my learning style. She goes on her own pace. Sometimes, she will put things up on the overhead and just take them off right away, so you need to be quick at writing notes. Be warned, If you want to get an A, it won't be easy. You need to read the textbook and stay on top of all information that she gives. Ask questions too!
terrible teacher haven't learned a goddanm thing, btw the test are nothing like the review my advice is to right out the whole chapter its the only way I am passing
She is literally the worst teacher I have ever had, she doesn't let you take notes, her lessons are so insufferable no one knows what she talking about, and she goes of topic constantly, this whole semester my science class had to teach themselves everything from the text book because we couldn't learn a single thing from her. and believe me I've asked for help on multiply occasions and all she doesn't do anything. I think were all just praying we do well on the test/provincials. Switch out!!!!!
Doesn't explain things well and is hard to follow along when teaching
one of the worst teachers, does not know how to run a class and to teach. Needs to know how to talk with people and not expect them to know everything right away.
I love Ms. McCargar. She really wants you to succeed - she even explained two questions that were on a test prior to it. She also tries to relate what we're learning to what is taking place in the rea
I had to work hard for her class, but managed to get a good grade :) She teaches in a conversational voice, which is pretty enlightening at times. Has a very awkward sense of humour, but you laugh.
Shes funny but a very tough teacher. You have to do a lot of reading at home and be one section ahead since shes as fast as lightening. She's a very very picky marker and her tests are difficult.
She likes to crack a lot of jokes, some not that funny. Overall, though, she is a good teacher and is quite lenient with her marking. On several occasions I have resubmitted work for a better mark.
Really lenient on the marking, and talks to hear her own voice.
Obsessed with Keanu Reeves. Pretty thorough but hard marker
Excellent teacher, really teaches you the things you need to know and does lots of in-class review which helps a lot.
classes typically r easy but be prepared for an entire class of her talking...large amouts of reading to be done at home..quizes r easy..watch out for the pig exam...funny jokes ..knowledgeable
Her class is always soooooooo funny! I'll probably remember her as a great teacher for the rest of my life
worst teacher i haver ever had she starts a new topic before we had a test on the other topic she was just teaching i dont understand her and im failing i have never failed before!
sure she talks alot..and you just sit and listen to her talk..but she's easy! want an easy class? take bio12
Gotta love her so not funny that it's funny jokes...I especially liked the 'tidal gossip' on her 'shellphone'!!!! She's really prepared and is an awesome teacher as she doesn't make you do notes as such its all self study worksheets etc.
her antics are so not funny that they are amusing.. has taught bio 12 so many times so she is very organized (pick the homework free night prize if you get a chance because it can be used to omit a quiz!)
