Mr Stephenson is an overall very nice person who genuinely has your best interest in mind. the two major problems I have with me Stephenson are 1.) his tests always contain some sort of information or questions which are way too hard and we’ve barley looked over or acknowledged throughout the course of the unit. 2.) he knows what he is talking a bout but I’m not sure he can’t teach it. When he explains he’s literally reading out what his notes say but some students find that difficult to underst
Very personable and kind teacher- clearly has students' best interests at heart. Be careful with his tests because there's only 1 per term. Hardworking students will do well but he inexplicably picks favourites that do even better.
I like this teacher
Mr. Stephenson is a really laid back teacher. His lectures aren't the best admittedly but he is always open to questions if you don't understand (a lot of students are just afraid to ask questions). Some of his physics tests are challenging and expand beyond the homework we get. I've done my Science fair project with him and completed IB physics. He has been consistently the interesting guy i know who likes Queen's and Sci-Fi stuff.
Picks favourites, teaches in point form, helps you only once or twice, and knows nothing about The Mole.
Mr. Stephenson is a pretty decent person, and that translates to his teaching style really well. He's definitely not always the best of teachers and it's true that he has a few favourites (although no unfavourites that I know of). A lot of class is taking notes that you may or may not understand but he does try to incorporate fun activities and labs. He even made a board game for our nomenclature unit, which was pretty cool. Of course he also gets bonus points for music/movie taste and his band.
He's OK as a teacher
This guy is just awesome, he loves Queen and star trek which is pretty cool. He teaches pretty well, his quizzes and tests are pretty fair, sometimes he'll add little funny questions in his multiple choice. This one time he asked a bonus question "what is Mr. Stephenson's top three songs and movies?" and if you try to answer anything you get it wrong so just leave it blank and get free marks lol.
He clearly has favourites and likes to pick on them for answers. I also feel that he doesn't have a great attitude towards the more non-intelligent kids, and doesn't really offer to help.
Very nice teacher, great guitarist, love him!! very helpful as well
One of the kindest, wisest and funniest teacher that have existed in the history of Churchill. I had him for Physics HL, even though the course was tough, he personally made the whole experience worthwhile. Through the great movies and songs that played he really made everybody at ease. If you had a question he would never hesitate to help. If you had an assignment for another class, he will understand. Seriously to be very to have him. Don't be late for class though, that is his pet peeves.
BRUCE from Churchill's in-house band, Bruce and the Bulldogs! Unlike a lot of teachers, he actually cares about his students.
He has a nice attitude to most students, but he clearly has favourites. You can get "A"s reading his notes and do his problems, but you need to do extra work on your own to really understand physics.
super chill, super nice, and you actually learn from him (unlike Klaassen). easy A for physics 12, just keep in mind that there's only 1 test per term, so don't bomb the tests.
funny and really nice. sometimes doesn't know the answer to questions but still a decent teacher
I love u !!! MR STEPHENSON!!!! AWESOME!!! best teacher in the world
Uses bio textbooks to demonstrate gravity of falling objects. Repeatedly.
We only spend half the class learning. But everytime we do review he realises that he forgot to teach us something.
Favours certain students and always gives you a dirty look if you ask him for something. His class is also based too much on quiz and test work.
omg, he's like the best teacher i ever had!! who says his intelligence is below average? he's so much more smarter than mr. ho and dr. gabbott!! and i hear he's the head of science department!! and so many people got around 95% in our class! and he is so flexible with his timetable, unlike some teachers, who don't even care if you have a huge test the next day and still give you a test on the same day...
a nice and funny teacher, said bad things about other sciences...likes science fictions and know how to play guitar..He knows how to teach and there's always about 3-5A's in his class, he's pretty easy if you listen and practice
he goes over the homework....u must be ready cause he might pick on u and u will have to answer the questions on the homework. dont be late for class, u'll be standing outside for at least 10 minutes once he closes the door. well sometimes he lets you in, but DONT be late. his tests are easy if u actually pay attention to him in class. and he has favorite students.
hard but helpful and he definatly knows how to teach!
Definitely picks on people he doesn't like! Always picking on me in class, and mocks me when I get answers wrong. Super easy class though.
isn't that great at teaching, learning nothing, keeps picking on me >:(
at least he helps
Very helpful. But sometimes he explains things SO fast! He has hard tests and if you get him, study before a test, helps alot.
he is one COOL guy, he makes the class fun with his jokes, his music, and star trek (the orginal one)he taught me a lot about physics, now i actully get physics
He is cool man, cuz he plays guitar, LOL! Dunno about his test yet, but he gives too much free time, kinda not that good.
Hes a cool and funny guy- although i did horribly in his physics class- i still think hes a good teacher- just DONT GET BEHIND IN PHYSICS OR YOU'LL BE SORRY!!!!
He is a good guy- I just dont like some of his tests- and MAINLY THE FINAL EXAM!!
Great guy/teach/muscian, Makes Science fun! c'mon he made Physix fun 4 me...
