Ferguson is an incredibly knowledgable teacher as well as a kind person. His classes are very difficult but if you are planning on going into science or math they will absolutely prepare you for university, if you aren't planning on going into science or math your grades will suffer.
Favorite teacher and one of the most admirable people I've ever had pleasure of getting to interact with. Been years since I've graduated but I'll never forget. His classes are not easy and he seems harsh at first (to prepare a diligent mentality for latter university) but he's actually quite soft and understanding. Has a subtle and dry sense of humor. He's encouraging to students he acknowledges, across all interests, not just science. I want to write an essay but there's a 500 character limit.
His clas ses are harder than other teachers, but he does an amazing job preparing you for university and he is always willing to help kids who really want to learn.
Very generous with giving extra help, really organized and pretty fun to be around. One of my favourite teachers at Esquimalt for sure.
People always think that Ferguson is too hard, but he tries to prepare students for university, and does a good job. By far the best teacher I had in high school. His classes were informative and inte
Teaches at university level. You have to stay on top of all hw. He expects you to come get help from him after school (expect to wait forever for him to get to you). He'll ridicule you otherwise.
really great guy. hard classes, but always wiling to help if you put in the time and aren't a flake.
If you are planning to go into math or science @ uni, you're going to have to go through at least one of his classes. They may be hard, but he is willing to help as long as you put in the effort.
Definitely up there with my favourite teachers ever. He's really helped me with my focus and discipline. He's funny, clear, and he keeps your attention very well during lessons.
Runs a hard class. But you know what? You can either cry and fail, or get over it and excel.
Amazing, favourite teacher.Hilarious, class was a joy.Very interesting person to talk to outside of class. And of course Mrs Ferguson is fantastic.Stoked on Math12 Calc Chem12 next year!!!
He is a good teacher to have. You have to keep on top of the homework or else you'll get crushed although he does offer help by appointment or in the mornings. He means well.
I am surprised that he graduated because he seemed stuck at Camosun for so long. He seems to have found his calling as a teacher and has redeemed himself for the slow start.
Greatest teacher and adult human being I have met so far. His passion for his work and realistic approach to teaching gives students an idea of what life outside the sugar coated public system is like
He is an awesome Teacher. He really knows what he is talking about and is very friendly. He prepares us for University. But I wish the classtime was managed better in a schedule format,
Amazing Chem teacher. He is funny, helpful and his teaching methods help students prepare for university.
Fabulous teacher. Had him for math 12, and now I've got him for chem 11. Both are somewhat difficult classes, but he's made them pretty tolerable.
He is one of the funniest, nicest teachers at the school. He offers help when he can, where I believe his major downfall is this year, is his time management. He's a hypocrite in this way.
Funny & Great Guy. Fun TA even though we never win any Inter-TA competitions such as the weekly quiz.
Went through chem withdrawl after finishing his course. Wonderful teacher.
Tries to humble his students by making his assignments and tests unessesarily difficult. He tries to scare students for the future by telling them they will fail. Supportive.
An awesome teacher, full of information, VERY funny. His classes are really hard but he is will to help you along the way...
Mr. Ferguson has got to be one of the funniest teachers I know. Most of the time his jokes are pretty lame, but it still funny.
A very hard class, which I was bad in. But he is a super nice guy and helped every student who asked for it.
Went out of the way to help students twice a week after school for hours, which helped, because the workload was huge.... At the time.
