A truly brialliant teacher that challenges you with music that isn’t terribly hard, but is hard enough that you learn a lot. She tells the best stories and never is hard to talk to. If you had her while she was still at the school than you are lucky.
Very picky. "Be picky because she is<3" she made us write that on our papers. Kinda crazy, which made her funny. Exams are really easy. I don't know if theory is easy or hard because I sucked at it. She never really helped me, just kept telling me to find my mistakes. That was a flaw. Pretty good teacher though. I think she left though???
Miss A if you read this it's Yiming. Although you only taught me for half a semester I'd like to thank you for the fun times in your music room. Have a good life. Come visit sometime.
It's true that if you were on her good side, life was easier so I can certainly understand those who marked her down for this. I took three years of music and to this day remember those classes fondly. It left a major void in my heart when I stopped band practise. I am proud to have been one of the first classes she ever taught when she started in 1987. It'll be 30 years soon. Thanks for the memories Ms A.
To explain the indefatigable Ms. A. to students who have never had her is tough. You have to understand the combination of courage and intellect that creates a teacher like her.
Best. No questions asked.
Best teacher I've ever had. Although she was tough at times she still was an amazing teacher.
Never, never boring. Smart. Caring. Challenges you to do your best. Offers unlimited opportunities to fix your mark. What more can you ask for? (If there's a rule not to eat in the hall, don't eat in the hall. I can't believe some losers rate teachers on school rules!)
best music teacher i have ever had
best teacher ever
Teaches well but very hard on students. Demands 110% and if she does not get it, well you do not want to do that. More or less it is her way/ view or no way at all. Her marking on tests is very strict!! You have to be deadly accurate when writting scales, no touching of the lines at all unless you mean to! Have lost so many marks when written scales and say10% of circle is not between the lines, crazy.
I have never had her as a teacher but she somehow always seems to find me in the hallways to criticize me about something!!
Ms. A is a tough teacher but she is amazing and funny. Her english class is hard but I have still learned a lot. Plus the best music teacher ever...EVER!
Looking back six years, I still think she;s an amazing teacher, and inspiration for my music career. Sorry for messing with you so much ms.A . And sorry for messing up the '05 band trip, mad bad...lol
Looking back six years later, she;s still an amazing teacher. sorry for messing with u much ms.A
My favourite teacher. Definitely funny, and easy to talk to. She's always there, and she cares about all her students. Best class by far.
Awesome teacher, funny, not afraid to speak her mind. Best teacher ever :)
I love Ms. A. Band is awesome. Despite her bold personality, she makes life interesting and very fun.
HA! She's funny. She's incredibly smart. She always makes her classes fun...except theory. Love her stories. Very helpful
Ms. A: If it's really that important to you, I will not eat my cookies in the hallway, because apparently you can't either.
She is a good teacher though very strict. Knows her stuff but crosses the boundaries. Over obsessive about certain things that dont matter that much
Granted, she knows her stuff. However, she's immature, judgmental, and extreme if you are a) male, b) not dedicating your life to her class, or c) expressing contrasting opinions.
Ms. Aylsworth has helped my daughter reach the musical excellence she is capable of and I can't thank her enough. We always hear stories about her at our house. Thanks so much Ms.
She is very fun. She may be kind of mean and loud but she takes very good care of me *hint hint* must be because of my friend's unusual influence! Thanks for a great time Mrs. A!!!
Aylsworth is one of the greats! She can be mean, but she knows her stuff. Get over the silly stuff and learn something from her.
Ms A is pretty cool; she's intense, but she's an awesome music teacher. She has a bit of a childish way of dealing with problems though - like the silent treatment...grow up...
She won't notice you in grade 9...10...but 11 and 12 you will truly meet her. She really does care about her students, you just have to see past her bi-polar personality.
I liked Mrs.A's class. A lot of people don't like her because she is intense, but i think that is was makes her a great teacher. I loved when we had dicussions. Good Teacher
Can get angry quickly, dropped her class and shes been bitter to me all this semester, getting kinda annoyed by her
Ms. Aylsworth is a very, very picky teacher. I mean GET OVER IT LADY! She also pics favourites.
If you are in the MAA executive, you are special and the rest of us feel that we don't count until she wants something.
I like Ms. A she is a good teacher once I was walking and that was it. But she was very good teacher. I did good in her class and I improved alot. And there was
she sometimes crosses the line between the teacher, student relationship, but her strictness really helps to mold students into better human beings
Not good. I'm proud to say that I'm the first student to ever drop her course at AHVS!
A hard marker because she makes you earn it, but she'll improve your musical abilities (and probably your feeling of self-worth) if you don't wuss out early on.
If you've effort, you'll do well.a total extremist. ppl who can't handle her over-the-top-character/teaching can't handle living an artist's life of anyway
Aylsworth is a huge powertripper. Walking through the halls and you get sent to the office for like chewing gum. Needs to realize that senior students dont want to have to put up with her bull!
she was the greatest teacher ever.. and i am soooooooo glad she is still there teaching other students the way she taught me to love and enjoy music..
She gives too many detentions, but i like her because she passed me.
Too friendly with students. doesn't kow where to draw the line.
She will never give up on a student, which is a really good thing because there's other teachers in the school who are a complete bore *YAWN*.
very challenging/inspiring/passionate; lets you upgrade your marks
