He's pretty funny, and tries to make class interesting, which is of course a plus. However, I'm not sure if I've ever been more confused about what I'm supposed to be learning, and asking questions doesn't seem to help either. He goes on a lot of tangents too, which takes up a lot of class time. At the start of the year he basically gave us a formula sheet and let us fend for ourselves.

You either love or hate Mr. Carmichael. If you just got him, force yourself to love him. If you come into class thinking he's crazy and has bad writing, you'll just get frustrated. If you come to class eager to hear his hilar

Had him for Physics 11 and Chem 12, overall not terrible, but could be a lot better. I found a lot of his explanations drawn-out and confusing, and he likes to play favourites too. Still, a decent guy and marks fairly

Great guy, helpful if your willing to work, and is very knowledgeable. If you have a problem, go and ask it personally. Do all the prep he suggests for the provincial, it helps A LOT!

A great person and a great teacher. Though I didn't do too well in his class when I took it, it was my own fault, and, with a little help, I was able to go from failing and ending up with 1% off of a B. great presentation, and allows elbow room for talkin

He is the reason I'm now in third year phyics at UVic. He doesn't dumb things down and takes intelligence for granted. That style works well for me, for others it may not. A very good physics teacher.

Has cool ties and really loves science. Very helpful when you need it but doesn't really go by the text.

Talk to him about Star Trek lots and you will do well. Sit at the front to have any hope of reading what he puts on the board. Good Guy.

Great teacher, even though your teaching style is a little let's say slacky, since you don't take off late mark 'til the project's been handed back.

he's a good, yet tough, teacher. I liked him, but didnt do enough with the actual criteria. Though i loved to be able to TALK about things, not just take notes!
