Mr. Ridgway is a very supportive and helpful teacher and a very skilled musician. He is one of the most helpful teachers I have ever had, and his class was one of few I've ever looked forward to.
Horrible teacher. Doesn't explain anything and marks really, really hard. He's the reason most people failed theory.
definetly has a huge bias towards string kids. there are many kids in my class who seem to have better pitch than he does and I have more piano experience than he does. He tries to be nice but he just comes across conceded. and he isn't really that much help during small ensembles
He was there for me when no one else was. Always a friendly ear, and a word or two of wisdom. We randomly keep in touch even 14 years after my graduating year. Unforgettable!
Anyone giving this man a bad rating, it's probably because they didn't work. He's an excellent teacher. If you work hard you'll do well. If you're a moron, he doesn't cut you any breaks.
Mr. Ridgeway... Is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He helps you as much as you help yourself. If you fail, he's not going to change it. But he teaches well, and he is incredibly awesome!!!!!
this guys the best teacher!!!! compared to mrs.hamilton hes a saint
He doesnt give out alot of homework, but when he does its ALOT. Alot alot. But hes a good teacher i think. He was my civics teacher. Good marker too.
Just plain awesome. He really loves to teach. Ask him about his favorite clarinet jokes.
The people with negivtive comments can't have spent much time getting to know him. He by far has helped me the most in my singing career . he gave me chances noone eles would thanx
People don't seem to like him, but I really liked him as a theory teacher.Told us random interesting things and theory made sense.Cool- will match whatever you put into his class.
pompous man, an okay civics teacher, very pretentious and hard to work with
let's just say that there is some intense amounts of immaturity floating around every which way to begin with, we don't need it fueled by an impatient prof.
He's a pretty nice guy outside of class, not too bad when teaching music theory or history, but awwwful for vocal.
i'm not a music/vocal student, but outside of music he's a really good teacher. give him what he wants to see, and you'll ace the course
The way you teach cadences is amazing!! I don't totally get your teaching style, and you never learned my name but I guess you were ok.
he is cool now that I don't have him as a teacher anymore! however, he is a very nice man outside of school...
He maybe good and all but really learn how to teach. he made me fail cuz i didnt go to some stupid classical concert. i wudv slept anwyays..
He yells at us for asking questions when we don't understand, he yells at us for taking out our books! He doesn't respect any of the grade 9 vocal students!
You don't know what you're talking about! Stop teaching vocal!
Come on, guys, he's a good person. And he's trying really hard. He's a good trumpet player!
Maybe if he learned that he's supposed to TEACH, not TELL/SHOUT/ORDER...
he walked out in the middle of my audition.. that was not very comforting... but still.., people should gove him a chance... or a second/third chance...
Mr.Ridgway is a really nice person and he's doing a very good job considering the circumstances. People should should stop and think how they'd feel if they knew that they weren't exactly everyone's favorite.
people do not give him enough credit, he can't sing and he knows that
really nice teacher, should be much more strict on his vocal students
when i tell him i dont understand, he explains the EXACT SAME WAY!!
