Very chill guy, but he can be weird sometimes. He knows his physics and is quite clear at explaining stuff, but he's a bit disorganized and RARELY returns your exams.
Good teacher who knows his suject, will talk to you about every thing you want to know about life, women and work
He doesn't like explaining a subject too much and is a very hard grader. If you don't understand he will just tell you to ask another student.
He was extremely unhelpful to the forensic science/criminology students. He actually said we were a lost cause. Other than that, he was a hard marker and he didn't like reexplaining things.
i think it's time he retired. I had him for sec4 and sec5 physics, and he expects a lot. He should have stayed as a teacher in universities, he's meant for greater things than cegep!
I'm now majoring in Physics, and his Modern Physics class was the best preparation I could have had for that. People who rate him negatively are generally just not meant for sciences.
Hilarious, fun, extremely intelligent. He's a bit hard to follow but loves what he does which is more than I can say for a lot of teachers I've had.
Just not really fair with social science students; come on when you teach a complementary class, you cant expect them to do as good as the ones is science....
Tests are very similar to assignements. Has over a dozen ways to explain everything, very helpfull if your not understanding something. Hilarious teacher also,
he's easy to follow in the beginning but you'll fail your tests and quizzes miserably in the end...
lol this guy likes to insult students. I think he might of been one of those kids that got beat up back in the the stone age. He's an average teacher.
He is honestly the best teacher you can have. If you aren't passing with him then you're probably too lazy or too stupid. His goal is to make you understand. If you can't than do us a favor, go in art
Extremely hard tests, skips steps, lacks clarification, extremely smart but should be teacher university not college.
Hard tests, not very helpful, but most of the material is explained pretty well.
pretty awfuk teacher who decides that he should skip steps instead of going through everything
Hard course, but he taught well enough. Friendly enough. Pay attention in class, look up his helpful links on Moodle and don't wear tight shirts in his class ;)
Extremely friendly teacher, although his material is extremely hard. He gives very long and hard tests, therefore understanding his practice sheets! Practice is the key to passing Physics.
Sir William o'Leary is the best teacher at Champlain for physics and he rox.His tests are hard though but as he says Practice Practice And Practice.I'm just waiting for his cookies before my last test
If you didn't like this teacher well that means that either science is not for you or your just a lazy bum. Bill will make you work hard but he will do all he can to make the course interesting.
Dr. William O'leary O'leary made me realise engineering/health is not my field and i switches to business, my success is due to him failing me, if it happens its meant to be...it doesnt get easier
really funny and good teacher but makes his tests that much harder
undisputed king of physics, the clarity of his explanations can even teach a wild animal about physics, lol, but seriously the best physics teacher in the universe
funniest class ever;; his jokes are so awesome;; overall best teacher all semester;; dont 4get to "practice practice practice!!"
One of the best teacher I ever had . He makes you work a lot but at the end you realize you understand everything. Be prepared for he's tests. A really nice and funny person's.
great teacher. tests are the hardest things ever but atleast you'll understand. his marking system is also pretty descent. practice or else you'll fail.
The tests seem hard and too long at first, but practice lots like he tells you to do (aka UNDERSTAND every sheet he gives you) and calm yourself down on the tests. Extremely nice.
Really great teacher, classes are fun and his stories are funny. Hellz yeah !!
hes definitely one of the best physics teachers at champ. his tests are really challenging, but with enough of his "practice, practice" you'll finish with a decent mark. hes great
Excellent teacher-fair/funny/clear/very helpful. He is tougher than most but you come out of his class understanding the topics & ready for any other teachers & for the long run.
Good teacher, but you have to be responsible for yourself. He doesn't force you to work, so you need to motivate yourself to work (otherwise you fail as tests are hard!)
No one can beat him, he's to bright, AT ANYTHING. But he has no feelings for students, but you can become his friend easily. In fact, it's your only chance. Has answers to anything
Amazing teacher. I will never forget the good moments and specially his tests. Very easy tests if you understand the materials and know how to apply them. Superb Great Teacher.
Sure, O'Leary is a tough teacher, but now, 14 years later, I look back and recognize that he laid a very strong foundation for my future learning. No one forgets a good teacher.
Nicest teacher i've ever got. Very easy and challenging exams.. you better practice all his papers or you're in trouble..
This teacher could be great if he actually took the time to teach everything instead of expecting you to learn it all by yourself. He doesn't care about your workload.
if u don't know an answer 2 a question, don't do it so it'll b easier 2 get ur magic mark on ur next test. go 2 class for the stories not 2 learn.
OH GOSH... what i learnt in physics, no practice + oleary exams + 1 .5 hours + fail... isolate fail and put it in fail + college = fail collge...gg no re
SUPER CLEAR TEACHER...though extrememly hard exams... when he says practice you better PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE... OR FAIL
He's a very good teacher but his material is really hard. If your doing E&M get ready for some integration all semester long. You must ask questions!
He is a good teacher. A few jokes here and there (not too good, but at least he tries!) and his test are really hard, just study and learn your stuff.
he's hard, but he gives you a chance to succeed if you work hard. very organized and good as a teacher
Cool teacher. really funny. (what do you expect from a newfie with a phd in physics?) Hard teacher but fair and really good.
Very good physics teacher! Very funny, explains very well.As everybody knows his exams are TOO HARD and they are TOO LONG!!!
Is a really nice teacher. Explain really well, but his exam is really really really hard.
Best teacher that I ever have in physics. He explains extremely well, and if you have questions, he is always there to help you. Super funny and nice teacher!!!
Very nice physics teacher. He's all into what he does and it shows. Exams are hard, but course is extremely intereting. Will answer to ANYTHING. Knows a lot.
he's a really good and effective taecher, really funny and entertaining all time
he's a GOOD teacher, although, tough exams. How tough? SOOOOOOOOOOOOO tough.
