I do not recommend him! He does not seem to know the content of the class or just to care at all. Throughout the semester he did not gave any homeworks or tests. He only corrected the mid-term and the final. I felt that our grades depended on how much he liked us

McNeil is a hyprocrite lazy outdated individual who somehow ended up in charge of students. He pretends disagreeing with the bureaucracy of the educational system yet he treats his students like emotionless numbers. He never relates to the students, doesn't show any care for their opinion or emotions, doesn't even greet us verbally or physically, simply starts talking or expects all of us to do whatever he says. His class is excruciatingly uncreative. Mcneil belongs ona rugby field.

This guy's not your average teacher. He is a more serious person. He usually looks like he's expecting great things from his students, even though only 5/20 students talk during his seminars and the class is silent half the time. Really easy class for hardworking students, good for cote r too, since a good chunk of your grade is on oral and 75% of the class never talk.

Incredibly unclear in evaluations and doesn't offer tips to make class participation/essay writing better. Introduced new perspectives on the books we read.

There is no way you can get higher than 90 in his classes so expect your mark to be near the class average. You don't get to know your essay grades until the end of the semester.
