He is a laid back but responsible teacher. His teaching style of using flipped lessons may seem weird, but it seems to work well for someone like me.
Physics is hard and you have to be willing to work hard to understand it, you can't just sit there. The flipped class was great if you're willing to work during class. The number of people who complain about his videos vs people who actually watch his videos is pathetic. Nobody watches them but everybody complains. Watch the videos, engage, ask questions and ASK HIM FOR EXTRA PRACTICE because that is the only way you will learn and succeed. Nag is always happy give you extra help if you ask.
I hate flip lessons! Telling students to listen to his 20 minute YouTube videos that he made 3 years ago, and handing us quizzes the next day, is not teaching. His examples are too simple and doesn't prepare us for the more complex questions on his tests. You cannot feel smart in his class and going to get help from him, sorta helps but it shouldn't be that hard to learn something. He's a smart guy and loves physics but not everyone can teach people.
I have never seen a teacher with such a lack of motivation to teach. Want to learn about physics? "Go look at my website." Need help solving a problem he didn't teach you how to solve? "Go look at the website." Its disturbing that he is still employed at this school and quite frankly I think I learned more about De Beers diamond company and global warming than I did about physics this year.
Brutal. His videos are the worst excuse for a flipped class that it has ever been my displeasure to attend
Very funny and easy to get to know, knows his physics. He is known for his rants, but he doesn't make you listen... you can do your work during them. If you ask for help, you get the FULL response. He lets you work with others and on your own.
Although he basically lives at the school, he's a cool guy. He explains the real world, and unfortunately, if you're not in the mood for him, he will irritate you. But if you're patient, and listen to his stories, not only will you do well in the class, you'll find him actually really interesting.
Mr. Nagy enjoys Physics quite a bit. Perhaps too much. He doesn't like to take the time to explain things, and if you ask for extra help, you get the signature "Are you retarted" look, and a sigh befo
He's very difficult to understand, but the only good thing about him is his rants; he'll rant about his son, to global warming and it is very entertaining.
Nagys rants are awesome it is really easy to do well in his classes if you follow his procedures perfectly
Mr. Nagy makes physics as enjoyable as it can be. His tests are very fair and clearly outlined, and his lessons are easy to understand, especially when he uses “Nag’s Termsâ€. Great teacher!
heys a great guy i just cant stand his teaching...i miss the student teacher :(
