I'll never forget when she "suggested" that I switch to applied math.... 11 years later I graduated from Smith School of business with an MBA and a specialization in finance. Guess I got the last laugh.
Loves math more then anything in life
she teaches at a very fast pace and often skips steps because she knows how to do them but the middle to bottom half of the class struggles, and if you ask a question its always answered with a sarcastic response that can be humiliating.
Ms. Thornton truly cares about the subject of Math, it is her passion. She will definitely help you if you need it, but you must show her you are willing to try hard. Overall great teacher to have, although her sarcasm is annoying at times.
Ms. Thornton was always there for me whenever I needed help. Her kindness and drive to help her students is invaluable, and it is largely on her part that I know understand the concepts of trigonometry, logarithms, rational equations, and so on. She's easily one of the best teachers I've ever had, and my favourite in grade 12. She made math fun because she made it so that I was able to learn easily, and I'll always remember that.
great teacher. extremely helpful and very smart herself. Her sharp sarcastic tongue can be very funny and she is very easy on the eyes
she sometimes mean and stuff but she gives us candy so im good with a math teacher thstd gives me food she can be nice im the best in her class
She isn't good at describing math, but extremely kind person. Would be nice if she clarified some of the terminology.
The fact that she made math comprehensible to me is a miracle in and of itself. Would take the time to explain assignments given by another teacher in a different math class.
She helped me alot in grade 9, she really cared that i was doing terribly and wanted to help, but i wouldn't let her.
Ms. Thornton was totally awesome...A great help in both gr.9 and 10...gave me an awesome base in math, my fave subject!
Great math teacher....helped me out a lot in Gr.9 and 10.......really nice too!
She's too busy worrying about how she looks to think about her students.
great math teacher, even for me a non-mathy! Probably the nicest ever.
