Most useless teacher I have ever had in my entire high school life in Churchill. She is old as Mr. Gibbens and I recommend her to retire as soon as possible.
Ms. Leslie is a great teacher. She explains the concepts in different ways so students can use the best method that they understand. Math isn't my best subject but I still did fairly okay in her class. You can also see her for extra help if you really don't understand something and she's really nice about it.
She's a super sweet lady! I don't always understand the concepts but she's always willing to help you if you don't understand. Beyond nice.
Really nice, her voice was sometimes annoying, did alrite in her class
She favours students, A LOT. advice: don't sleep in her class
Nice teacher. horrible planning. Maybe it's just for IB but in the end we crammed 2 chapters in one class and they weren't easy chapters. I also don't like how she just says do questions and not which
very helpful :) there's rly nothing that you've feel confused in her class.
suuuper boring teacher!! don't remember how many times i fell asleep in her class. but she's very helpful, nice, and concise.
i dont know how many times i fell asleep in her class. her voice is monotone and the material is not taught well.
after suffering thru stuart and nakamoto, leslie is fantastic!
i dont like her voice. she doesnt explain clearly how to solve a math problem and she goes too fast during the lessons BUT a very good teacher otherwise.
boring and annoying voice. talks so much in class she never gives us time to actually try the questions ourselves. her notes aren't even notes, just examples of questions from the textbook. she's kind of nice though.
Although this is not saying much, she is probably the best math teacher at Churchill. In grade 8&9 I was getting from C- to C+. Thanks to her I got a 74 in the class, and an 85 on the provincial. Because of the inadequacy of math teachers these days it's good to find yourself a good math tutor, in combination with her, it really works out for the best. Don't forget to try! and ask for help after school if needed, she apprecieates it!
she seems like a good person, but when it comes to teaching...i found it really hard to learn. she can't help her voicee that's a bit like something you hear in a 70s documentary, but i found her teaching style ineffective for me. she ends up lecturing on the lesson for the entire class, leaving no time for us to actually TRY the questions in class and to ask her questions in class =\.
Boring voice. Unclear notes. Reasonable tests (multiple choice and written). Very helpful if asked.
extremely detailed in her teaching. TOO detailed. explains everything to the max. good if your math illiterate. bad if you get things fast. EASY tests (again, good for bad-at-math ppl). had her for both math 11 and math 12. preps you with strategies for provincial. ended up with 98%. very very good teacher to have in gr 12. accused me of cheating in gr11 lol!, when that time i actually didn't
hippy turned math teaher? doesnt really work out, but great class to have if ur tired, her voice is like a lullaby
boring but there to help whenever math-challenged people need help...encouraging and nice but her voice gets annoying after a while =P
Really nice person. Willing to put in extra hours for help. But teaches the whole class. Tests are alot harded than the textbook. But she is very fair and will pass you if you try.
She's nice but it's difficult to get by in her class...I've had way more trouble in her class than in any other math teacher's class, unfortunately. :/
Ms. Leslie is a great teacher. She's incredibly patient and nice (unless you disrespect her by sleeping in her class) She's very helpful and isn't afraid to waste time helping students like most teachers.
Okay, so maybe she's not the best at keeping the class awake, but hey, you honestly cant expect any math teacher to, no? Very patient, doesn't mind explaining every single step in a math problem even if they're easy and you feel embarrased to ask for em. Notes are very clear, always there after school if you need help. Perfect teacher...except for the keeping-the-class-entertainted part, which technically isn't part of her job..just a bonus.
i love her. she's so nice, she's the best math teacher i've ever had. she explains everything!
Well, she is fairly understanding, but annoyingly forgetful.
babysitting is related to calculus? who knew? tries REALLY hard to teach students but the way she teaches works on only 20% of the class. every1 has tutors
has never had a voice to keep the masses awake but her clarity and helpfulness has always been there. she was my teacher in gr 9 and 10. thanks for all the help
Her classes would be better if she only spent 40 mins teaching and the rest for us to work on questions... most ppl fall asleep after 20 mins cuz of her voice
prepares us really well for exams, and GREAT NOTES! althou im kinda holding a grudge against her for giving me a 6 for ib math! =(
Really nice woman. Her voice makes me sleepy though...but good teacher, and nice person
when i took her calculas AP, i thought it was borin n barely passed. when i m take cal in university n read her notes again, i realize how useful those notes r
Things do get a little boring in there... OK teacher, not the best at explaining things tho.
Hm... Easy quizes and tests, hardly have pop quizes, but confusing explanations.
