I took his Life and Death Humanities course and it was challenging. I started off hating the course because the material was hard to comprehend. However, he is extremely knowledgeable and you can tell that he knows what he is talking about. There's a lot of reading and discussion in class. Although, you really have to understand everything in the chapters in order to pass bc everything is short answers and essay questions. Overall not a tough grader. Take him if you want a challenge.

Honestly, this teacher is very intelligent but he changes the subject so much that you end up getting lost in what he's trying to explain, or you might end up falling asleep. He''s a hard marker, and not even clear on what you must do for your assignments, he just gives you the assignment without explaining. There's no point in going to class, because he posts recordings of what he says in class yet he takes attendance very seriously so you might as well go.

I had him for Reasons good and bad and i did personally very well with him. His quizzes aren't weekly but you must do the readings of max 6pages which is not alot for a college level. Yes, his classes are sometime boring but it's quite easy to pass with him if you attend the class of course. He is very nice and .. old. hence, he does his best with his explanations. His tests are what you learn in class no surprise and he surely grades fairly. I don't see why boredom can stop u from getting a 90+

Classes are very boring, he talks for three hours non stop. Gives no notes and randomly asks students to answer strange questions like what is happiness. His tests are 2 questions that you need to answer in 300 words each. He gives a lot to read and you need to be on top of it if you want to get a good grade.

DON'T TAKE HIM! Had him for Media, Myth and Propaganda. He is very is close to being worst humanities teacher. No one takes notes and what he talks about isn't THAT interesting, as things become very repetitive. I remember the class being full but near the very end, only a quarter attended lol Having good grades w/ him is hard bc he wants specific things. So, if you don't understand it, you might be on the verge of failing. He knows what he's talking about, but students don't lol

I had him for January Intersession Humanities 101: KOB. Class was from 10am-5pm Monday to Friday for 2 weeks. Long days, but the 2 weeks passed by very quickly. Very understanding in terms of assigning homework. He did not overload us for the 2 weeks. Assignments were very fair too and easy to understand. I would definitely recommend him.

I liked Mr.Byron because he had a good sense of the big picture, a quality other teachers often lack. What I mean by this is that he didn't try to stress or scare students with rules or large essays, and he didn't follow a strict curriculum, instead letting conversation guide the class (an excellent approach to teaching philosophy). Classes were relaxed, and the one class essay (a mere 750 words) was on whatever the student was interested in. He is kind and his tests are fair. A great teacher.
