you will hate going to class everyday. but, you will learn. she knows her stuff. she pushes you to do well. she takes no excuses and doesn't really help u. she is extremely smart. almost too smart... takes math too seriously, its important but its not everything. her jokes are so bad they r funny. her marking is terrible, i wish i could have her teach and harris mark. overall, i didn't hate her as much as others did. she did ruin math for me tho.

Is Ms. Slgers kinda scary? Yes. Does she push you to do better? Hell yes. Yeah you might be pretty scared in her classes and sometimes even cry (I did), I look back on that experience happily because I came out stronger. I'm way ahead in my uni math classes than my friends who are struggling. Focus on the fact that she's so hard on you because she wants you to be better, even when it doesnt seem like it.

It honestly makes me sad to see any negative things said about Ms. Slegers. While she seems scary at first, if she sees that you care about her class, and about doing well - she'll care that you do well. One of the sweetest people if you take the time to get to know her, and one of the smartest women I've ever met. Her lessons are very clear, however, if you're having trouble I would highly recommend seeing her at the math office (she's always happy to help). Would definitely recommend!!

She is the most terrible teacher in the world. If you;re not gifted, you're toast. She actually goes to other classes while the original math teachers are teaching, and pulls kids out to scream at them because they aren't doing well in her course. ex. "YOU SHOULD BE IN APPLIED!! DO YOU REALIZE YOU AREN'T GOOD ENOUGH!!" and so on. She also messes up her own equations. My tutor was looking at my exam, and was comparing some of the questions to his university math finals!! Like, are you kidding me?

Ms.Slegers is an awful math teacher. She may be knowledable but she does not care about her students, and likes to throw around whatever kind of marks she pleases. Her marking is totally unfair, and she goes the extra mile mile to make the lives of her students as miserable as she possibly can. In addition to that, she also likes to insult her students and has an bad attitude towards her students overall.

She cares about her students

Slegers seems very intimidating at first but I urge you to look beyond this scary mask that everyone sees and you will notice that she truly wants her students to succeed. If you need help, don't be scared, approach her and she will be very helpful and won't bite haha

She is so sassy as a teacher.. however she is totally fair! Love her way of teaching.. best math teacher in this school! i only had her for gr 11 functions but i couldnt get her to be my teacher for gr 12 a.functions and calc :/ oh well

Such a genuinely caring teacher, although she does shut people down a lot... Has favourites, and if you're not one of them then your life will be difficult. Best math teacher though, and has a really great teaching style... oh and very lovable :)

Awful teacher, she is extremely strict and very scary. Do not get a question wrong when she asks you or you're done. I hated her.

I will personally pay you to tell me she was a good teacher at the end of the semester. Good luck in hell. Be careful with her inadvanced functions. She builds up hype for it all grade 11 so expect the torture. Definitely my least fav teacher in lucas.

I speak for the Lucas student-body right now: if you are are absent, she will ask you why and need a note for her OWN records; she will say one thing, but nonchalantly change it later rather than admit her mistake; she often messes up mental calculations; communication is her biggest weapon; there are definitely favourites in the class; she looks down on those who seek help 1-on-1; her word is final and not open to opinion; ask a question, expect a condescending response; be really careful....:)

I love Slegers!Remember to never leave math class or she will hate you. She is really strict, but really nice underneath.

She is extremely strict and stern, no doubt about it. She makes jokes that are not funny and so she feels rejected; even if you are going on a field trip, she needs you in class whether there is a test or not; she assigns more homework than all my university teachers; (this happens everyday -> SHE PICKS PEOPLE BY RANDOM FOR ANSWERS, IF YOU DONT KNOW IT, SHE WILL ACTUALLY SIT DOWN AND WAIT FOR YOU TO COME UP WITH ONE. ONCE FOR 10 minutes!; she messes up 4 times a day, everyday. Good luck.

............ speechless. Be her favourite or else........

Step 1: Determine if you are one of her "favourites". Step 2: If not a favourite, drop course immediately. Step 3: Drop course immediately.

There is no doubt that she knows the course material like the back of her hand, so to speak, however, she is socially awkward and definately has favourites.

Simply put, you need to put effort into the class and she will put effort into help you succeed. Come prepared, but you should be, its university level material and she teaches accordingly

nicest teacher no doubt, excellent golfer, frog enthusiast, all around amazing human being. every day she makes me feel like giving her a hug!

Obviously puts a lot of effort and actually wants her students to succeed. She is disliked by many because she hates taking criticism and is not very helpful to those who she see as "not smart"

She is "Awsome"... I had her for 2 years of my senior and she did a great job teaching me the right things for university. In simple maths equation - Slegers = humour(S-unit) + Smart + Care + Chill

She is a good teacher that cares about her students and wishes the best for them. She gives good information about university ex what courses you need to get into what programs etc

She thinks it's impossible for anyone who isn't in the top 5 percentile of the school to correct her, she never helps you, never explains to you what you're doing wrong, and can't simplify a thing.

GREAT teacher, you know what to expect on tests because she prepares you. She makes you understand the math. Not such a great person

Shes an alright teacher, but definately not the best. I also think shes bi-polar. One minute shes talking quietly, the next shes yelling and calling you a liar in front of the class o.O

she teaches you one way and one way only. To her..all other methods are wrong...get on the boat sledgers

Run and hide. Was totally unhelpful and sorta angry when we approached her about help. Only teaches one way, and its her way or the highway. Extremely moody. Heard she was in a car crash? Always found some fault.

she's kind of moody....but she explains things well and her tests are fair. Overall she's a good teacher.

excellent teacher! has good explanations and is alwase their for help.

i think she may be bi-polar. she's either ULTRA smiley...or in an awful mood. great teacher though, calculus was pretty good.

A decent teacher overall. some unpredictable moods. can be a bit intimidating but nice enough as long as you put an effort in. Sometimes goes a bit fast but will offer some help.

good teacher but students need initiative to get a good mark. Will give help if you approach her although can be a bit intimidating. Explains well although fast at times.

Math camp? She doesn't deserve the poor rating the one student repeated 4 times...talk about zero personality. This great teacher ALWAYS offers help who aren't too cool to ask

excellent teacher. She gave me alot of extra help... looked forward to going class, she's alot of fun.

I think she should try a new method of teaching, because her current method sucks. It's boring, repetitive, erroneous, and probably very confusing for the less math-oriented people

Shes a hard teacher. If yuor not good at math get out of that class.

i am utterly shocked at the positive feedback. she was a cold soul if you needed a hand. try some math challenged student compassion lessons.

I think your the Best teacher I ever had thanks for helping me get 98% in math

She had her beleifs (about teaching/marks) and I had mine. They didn't mix.

sleeeegers you rok. Makes you wish you have her as a teacher for all courses.

look forward to going to class...love her, she's da coolest...oh oh made excellent mistake.

She's cool. I've heard stories of her being mean, but I've never experienced it first hand (at least not yet).

Slegs is an amazing teacher, a little creppy though...

Thanks!! the only class I learned from last sem 'n was fun.

I dunno.. it's kind of hard to approach her, she's nice and all though. She moves a little too fast during her lessons and perhaps she can improve on neatness

intimidating at first, but not anymore. my marks have been better this year than the previous couple of years~ she explains very well.

intelligent, funny, teaches very well, cares alot about us.

She takes the mystery and complexity out of math. She cares that I understnd.

An excellent teacher...can be a little intimidating...don't be late for class!!

...love her. I understand math!!!. I now see why she loves math so much.

..she cares that I understand math. I look forward to being in class.
