She is a nice person to and extent but she really doesn't not know how to explain anything i took 3 sessions w a tutor before my exam and I understood the entire chem unit in 3 sessions that I did in the entire semester in becks class having the right teacher really makes a big difference in learning and mrs beck really really does not know how to teach I honestly did not understand a single thing she taught and it wasn't that her tests were hard but it's the fact that you don't understand
Bad overall. Jfkskajfosorbekwd
Worst teacher ever, impossible to get 80% in her class no matter how smart u are. she's very confusing when explaining concepts & nothing makes sense. lessons are completly misleading. the midterm class avg. was 59% when the rest of the classes avg. was 74%. she's very rude and has no respect for students even if they ask a simple question. she marks labs & tests unreasonably & will take off marks for no reason even if u showed all needed work. often, she shows up to 1st period class 20 mins.
Chances of you getting a 85+ with her are 1 out of 1 000 000 000 000 000 000, even if you ask for help before a test, you can't tell what she's talking about, even if you write what she told you on a test, she won't take it and come up with an alternate "made-up" correct answer. Switch out asap if you have her
She doesn't know what she's talking about. Switch out asap.
I had Ms. Beck for Grade 10 science and my experience was not pleasant. To start she is a very rude person in general. She is disrespectful to almost all student in the class primarily boys. She also doesnt teach well at all. She doesnt know what she is saying and makes stuff up. Ms Beck lacks clarity because no one can understand her for two reasons... she doesnt know how to teach and she is never there (always late). If anyone has her... drop out now!!!!!!!
Ms Beck was definitely a journey. She was extremely confusing and misleading and completely useless when teaching. Her notes consisted of a blank page with 1 definition at the top. Her tests and quizzes were fairly simple and easy to understand however- unlike her! Your class will bond over the fact that no one knows what she is saying.....I highly reccommend you form study groups now and read the textbook every night. You will do fine!!
She was probably one of the worst teachers I probably had. Science was one of the subjects that I actually looked forward too, but in her class, well, she wasn't a great teacher. She did not make good notes for her students, so most of the time we all looked around at each other wondering what the hell she was talking about. Chem with her was one of the most confusing subjects I ever took with her. Didn't answer questions well.
Science was my favourite subject before i had her. Think of every good quality you think a teacher should possess (Clear, engaging, knowledgeable, etc.)....now think of the OPPOSITE to all of those; you now have a description of ms. Beck
A lot of people bash on her for not being able to explain things properly and giving out really bad notes. However, our whole class's experience with her this year has been really positive. She's a good person with an awesome sense of humour. Yes, her notes may be a bit basic and maybe her way of explaining things is confusing. But if you actually are willing to learn and are really confused, all you have to do is show that you care and don't be afraid and ask her one-on-one and she will help.
Taking her class was the worst experience of my life.
I used to look forward to science class. Until I spent a few days in her class, I started to dread class. She is always off topic, wastes time and barely explains things. My classmates and I gave her a punch line for when we try to ask a question that requires her to explain. "It just does!".If you have her as a teacher I strongly suggest you switch ASAP. I've honestly learned more in just one class of any other course than I have in weeks of her class.Rude, obnoxious, and shouldn't be a teacher.
Really boring class and teacher. She cannot explain anything, and because of that, I had to drop out of her class :/
I feel like it was her mission to make students feel like failures. She told me that University was out of reach for me and that I should definitely go directly to College. No teacher has ever left me feeling so helpless and unprepared in my life. Get rid of her already!
Not a good teacher to have. She made some kids quit wanting to go into science. Disorganized. Goes off topic. Teaches during announcements. Silly. Leaves during tests so everyone cheats...
she is a good teacher, but she isnt popular and her classes are very serious to the extent that they sometimes get borin, but overall if u want to learn go to her class
great person bad at explaining stuff, even though she knew it herself
She's a great person, but extremely hard to follow. You can tell she knows what shes talking about, but makes you feel stupid if you don't get it (not intentionally). All in all, switch teachers.
A nice person in general. But as said already - she can't explain, she can't hold interest (usually), and she is not organized at all. One day she lost our unit tests and asked what mark we want.
She's not mean, you just can't understand her lessons very well.
nice person but can't explain at all! On the first day of class, I had NO IDEA what was going on...
I don't think she actually liked me and I got low marks (for my nerdy standard) in that class. She gave out hard marks, and was bad at explaining things, but she helped me out whenever I needed it. She was nice, but not very... clear.
Very nice person..but doesnt explain clearly...sometimes really disorganized
ms beck cannot teach!!!! she thinks she explains well, but she doesn't! she expects you to know how to do everything on ur own!!
She's a great person, but probably not the greatest math teacher.
I wish ms. Beck would just explain better! Overall, really nice though!
She's really not organized, if she organized her lessons she might be okay.
A teacher shouldn't have favourites, all rules should apply to every student equally. Not the case in her class.
