I just cannot learn in her class. Notes sessions are tedious and not helpful. There is a lack of interactive activities which would be helpful to strengthen our understandings of difficult concepts. Her tests are unreasonably hard and the wording is KEY, as the vocabulary you use have to be SPOT ON, or else marks deducted. I dread coming to class and I think it wouldn't make a difference if one doesn't show up to class and just acquire the notes from a classmate.

Deflects all blame and mistakes made on her part. Forces people to do these convoluted arts and crafts such as MAKING YOUR OWN DAMN PERIODIC TABLE. *FURTHERMORE* She will tell you she wants you to hand in one thing and its due in a week then make it due next damn class and your interim mark will drop because of missing assignments that she did not ask for. Terrible Teacher, Meh person

you will take notes, watch videos and NONE OF THE THINGS YOU LEARN WILL BE ON THE TEST. Her tests are super hard for absolutely no reason. She is also oblivious to everything that goes on in her class.

We only take notes in class and its definitely not an effective way to learn for me. We always hand in research assignments for marks and I feel like they are not an accurate reflection of an IB mark. Ms. Chan is a really nice teacher but I just feel like I wouldn't be able to learn in this class at all, I always have to do a huge amount of extra work/ redo my notes at home to get a decent grade. Class is too "chill" and not a good learning environment.

All you do in class is just take notes and do worksheets. She does a poor job of explaining but she is really happy all the time but it's hard to appreciate that when you're having a really really hard time learning. Often I have to spend hours of time at home trying to understand it.

In all honesty, you walk into her class thinking that she's this sweet woman who's going to lead you through a wonderful path of biological knowledge. NOPE! I mean she is a nice person and all, but that doesn't change the fact that she's unprepared, late for class (with her students patiently waiting by the door at 7am) and notifies you of a test LITERALLY the night before via email. Her classes are just ALL notes, and YouTube videos that quite frankly do a better job than her.

Doesn't teach much for Bio. Very confusing, and Youtube videos explain better than her. Aside from teaching, she's a wonderful person with so much care and love for her students. Also really funny too!

Ms. Chan taught me so much about life- and nothing about chemistry. She is such a great person but I would not take her class unless you really got a knack for science. She is unclear and her tests are hard. BUT if you ask her for help, she's very helpful.

She can be a pretty lazy teacher and puts off marking. Her exams can be fairly demanding of little details, but if enough studying is done, a high A is very possible. Nonetheless she was awesome.
