I come from a French High School and I didn't find she was a hard marker or a hard teacher. I had Envers de l'assiette with her and I have learned alot about food. She gives you extra 5% on your final if you do at least 10 homework assigned called TP. She corrects fairly and is very considerable. She spend her time to explain and tries her best at making everyone understand her explanations. Her quiz, tests, written exams... are straight foward, involve quite an amount of work but totally worthit
She is a smart and good french teacher. Do the work and you will be good.
Great, well educated teacher. Really wants you to pass and will take time to answer all your confusions. If everyone fails an exam, she will do a redo exam so that everyone understands. Only off side is she assigns so much homework, as if she forgets we have other courses. Fortunately, she made our homework count as bonus marks. She gives you everything you need to pass, tells you exactly what are on the exams, and the exams are very fair.
This teacher is so good and enthusiast. She really loves teaching and the class is interesting. However, you must be prepared to put A TON of work (homeworks, readings, quizes) to get a good grade.
She's an ok teacher overall, but her homework is too much. Homework and assignments are worth almost nothing, but it might take you easily an hour at least to do them. She gives work every class, and it's difficult.
One of the better french teachers. She made a boring subject seem interesting.
Des êtres et des génies: she's a good person and a good teacher, but I think she spoke too much English even though HSA is the lowest. Even though the extra credit are optional, do it, don't throw away those easy marks. She can seem disorganized at times, she regularly mixed my HSA group with the other.
She doesn't give a lot of work, the extra stuff is for bonus marks on your final grade so obviously she's going to make you work for it. SUPER interesting class because she brought up good points and we had class discussions. Very nice lady if you're a good student and ask her for help!
Course interesting, I mean, really interesting! She knows her stuff and makes class interesting and interactive!
Mme. Brunet is a hardworking teacher, I had her for my 102 french and i found it very hard, she asks a lot from her students. Though her class is very interesting it is not an easy class.
She tells you what she wants, and it's a lot. I think she believes french is the only class we're taking.
best teacher so far but just do the work and ull do fine . very leanient teacher and nice to talk to out of class for help. take her for french
She is a hel of a smart woman she knows her subject well and teching is defenetly her thing. You do have lots of H/W to do but they are pretty easy and counts for points. Take her, the best ull found
Im good in french and i came from a french highschool. i purposely let them put me in a lower level, yet her tests are super hard, She's sarchastic, rude, she'll judge you, and use it to favor or hate
Attend classes and do the readings and you'll be just fine. If you don't, that's where it gets hard.
Good teacher and will help you no matter what. However, expect ALOT of work. Probably too much work for this type of class. Not recommended if you just want to pass.
She really knows her stuff, very good teacher. However, she gives A LOT of work.I'm a francophone ,and I Iearned a couple of things with her.I have to admit that her class is not easy!
okay teacher i guess? give a lot of work. if your serious abt your studies take her, if not.. then don't.
we had so much fun in her class. true that we had a lot of work but that's part of the process ;) even though i finished with not-such-a-good-mark ill still remember sabine and her class with good :))
I do my work and she still wants me to fail, she dosnt understand im a soldier serving my country i have to do community service...
If you want to learn take her. If you don't care about school, learning and are a major slack off, don't.
She told me that she wrote 12 books! 12 books!!! Damn! I really like her, she doesnt work for the money. She is very helpful and VERYYYYYY ENCOURAGING!!! Take her!
She's on fire! She knows a lot of things, really intelligent, funny, nice, helpful! I actually learned french with her, not like the other stupid french teachers who gives us 1-2 composition.Take her!
She is a really nice lady, I like her. She doesnt work for the money at all. Very motivated, intelligent, and passionated. There is a lot of work to do only if u wanna go for the bonus points.
One of the best teacher I had at Vanier College. However, be advised that her class is pretty tough. But if you want to learn, you should be taking her! She is passionated/not doing it for the money!
Enjoy French for real! Helpful, good sens of humour and knows her stuf!
Class never, never borring, keeps you well awake and maskes everyone participate. Explains clearly, for once French makes sens. Does give a lot of work but only if you go for the bonus points, otherw
For the first time in my life, I was not bored in french class. She is passionate and keeps you awake. By taking her class you will learn, howver she can be quite demanding homework wise, tests are not easy but not hard. She is also very understanding, and will post pone exams, many extra point assignments. Knows her stuff.
If u like to work, take her! or else avoid!!!! although, i've learned quite alot. shes a nice woman. if u do ur work, she'll like u..it will show in ur marks ;)
Take her if you actually want to learn French. She demands a whole lot but after you've had her you will be amazed at how many skills you developed.
very easy to get good marks in her class, the workload is fine
Yes she is a hard woorker, but she gets the best out of you. And no matter what ohters mat say she is one of the most understandable teachers: does not hesitate to postpone or cancel a test.
This woman's an amazing teacher. If you don't understand with her, you won't understand with anyone else. However, the workload is INSANE! If you actually want to learn, you have to take her. If you want to be lazy and get a good grade, avoid.
GET READY TO WORK! That being said, this woman is probably the best French teacher I have ever had. She explains very well, and if you listen in class, you will develop amazing French skills.
The entire french department at Vanier (headed by this woman) have no idea what their doing. In my experience it took me two years to get into my proper french level. Anything you say to this department will be ignored regarding your own education. Her workload is insane, and she expects far too much out of someone who has english as a SECOND language, and as Vanier is an ENGLISH cegep, she needs to understand that we aren't all as keen or as proficient she she is.
Sabine is THE BEST frencher you could get. If you really want to learn french, take her. Now, even if she is very good, she gives WAY TOO MUCH WORK! In short, if you are ready to work hard, take her because you'll learn a lot. Oh, and you will not get a high average too.
Would not reccomend this teacher. She's not very comprehensive. She seems completely obsessed about her work and doesn't seem to care if you fail. Gives way too much work.
just horrible!A LOT of work for a subject thats really not important, very hard tests, very complicated assignments (u never know what shes asking for, nothing's good enough unless you're a francophone!!)pick another teacher
U never know what she wants she is a good teacher not bad but if u want to get above 80 dont take her
very good teacher...heavy workload but she is one of the best teachers ive ever had...strange but possible
Very knowledgeble and always helpful. Works till the very last minute.
Hard teacher on every aspect but the lady knows her stuff....in the final cut she's a very good teacher! Work a lot to pass!!!
Took her for 102, she's very nice... classes can become boring sometimes... overall she's a very decent teacher... learned a lot from her.
Work....work....woooooooork....or forget about this course......(her tests are hard). But, very nice...
You have to work to get anything in this class. If you're looking for an easy ride, this is not it. If you're willing to put in time and effort, you'll do great
nice teacher but very hard. gives too much work. I mean ALOT of work.
she is really hard. It is hard to get over 75. Also, you have to work hard.
really ok teacher..just so much work!!!! find an easier teacher
She should teach an advanced class. Has a very good business sense. :)
Really hard teacher(impossible to get over 85) but YOU LEARN A LOT in her class!
