Nicest teacher ever!!! Well yeah, he does go on about his stories in Hollywood, but they're really interesting. He also gives you a lot of constructive feedback without being very harsh on you. The classes are indeed a bit noisy, but overall he's a fantastic music teacher.
nice guy but not the greatest teacher. he is kind of boring...
MArks a bit hard to be honest. But is a very funny man. Sometimes rambled too much about his stories about michael jackson
Really good teacher, helpful
Awesome! Very supportive even if you're not in his class. Don't know where he finds the energy to do it all!
Although I did not excel at violin- AT ALL- Mr Royer was always there to help me try and do better, no matter how frustrating it must have been for him.
Good teacher - I was struggling and he spent a lot of time helping me. If you ask, he is usually there to help you. He is also dedicated to Senior Chamber and Orchestra and expects us to be prepared.
Always lieing about how well you play, very biased for good players, but good teacher, easy marker, stories, which i love, take up half the class sometimes. classes bery noisy, should impose presence more
just a pinch boring...except for his hollywood stories, though those make him sound like he's been through everything and a little conceited...nice teacher though. i actually learn stuff from him.
He is a good teacher, but unless you know how to play already like a pro, you can be sure he is lying to you about how well you play. Otherwise, he is good, though he is very biased. EASY MARKER
If you've been playing the violin for 13 years, he'll love you. Else, be prepared for mediocre marks. Nice guy, though-great conductor, just SUBJECTIVE grading favouring virtuosos.
Nicest guy ever, dont know how he marks, partly because we never get anything back from him. Alos, he should make his presence felt a bit more, his classes are too noisy.
he's a really nice guy. i love his stories!! they take up like half a class lol!! but he isnt' biased against experienced players. he marks them much harder and he only really talks to them and stuff because he can relate to them.
Biased towards experienced players. The most unpopular teacher in the school.
Mr. Royer is definitely the greatest part of the music staff. He's very kind and always has a smiling face. Never angry, he's such a great cellist and teacher.
i love this man. he is a fabulous enthusiastic encouraging kind guy, and an excellent teacher.
yes, agreed- self-centered and pompous. biased. but... kind of nice... sort of.
