A great teacher!
Mr Melnyk is wound up pretty tight most of the time, but only because he really wants his students to perform well. He is also very nice, and like many of mentioned, he carries around with him a repertoire of awfully corny jokes, and can pound the skins pretty hard. He was always able to get the most out of students from a school that was maybe not as well known for its music program as other schools were, which led to various awards during my time there, and after.
An awesome instructor! Always available for his students and was always concerned about their well-being in general.
If a student from way back (i.e. the Queen Elizabeth Secondary days) is willing to come back in time to rate his teacher, you know the teacher must have made a brilliant impression.
Thanks for putting me on the Euphonium, Ron. It was challenging for me at the time because of my shyness, but my fondest memories of highschool were of those band trips.
He's freaking awesome and I want him to come back as our teacher at panorama
He seems to really care about his students and about the music program in general. Gets involved with the students and the problems that arise. Seems like a good guy.
hes very good at teaching band he's already brought the players who have never played before to the level of the students with first year expereience
Awesome teacher who takes us on great trips! Lots of corny jokes.
A very devoted teacher...but needs to lay back and relax at times!
Mr.Melnyk is really nice and helpful, but like someone said he can say corny jokes.
he works so hard for us, taking us on all those trips...only downside is he makes really corny jokes that are so stupid its almost funny lol.
A fairly good teacher overall. I had some problems with another student in the same class I was in, but he dealt with it the best he could.
How many teachers take you to Cuba on a band trip, man?
