She has her strict and scary moments but Ms. Rollings is by far one of the best teachers out there for physics. She's very encouraging on the students, but can be a bit hard on them sometimes. VERY knowledgeable and can give you answers to your questions on the spot with ease. She is at science clinic very often which is a great help as well. Stay on top of your work and you'll be fine.

Two years later, still having nightmares about this lady. I'm confident that the Mayans are correct in their hypothesis of the Earth's demise in 2012 due to the fact that the antichrist i.e. Mrs. Rollings is walking the earth.

She is a great teacher to have if you plan on going to university, she always has an answer for relevant questions but does not allow for much fun and never gives in class time for work

Her class is deff the hardest class ive had. However she is a great teacher. Work as hard as you can and stay on top of things (unlike i did) and you can do great in her class just dont fall behind and always ask her to help you if you dont understand something. I may not have had the best mark in her class but i respected her bc she trys her best to give you everything you need for the future. Maybe try and make it a bit more fun but other then that your a good teacher ms.rollings

Mrs.Rollings is the best teacher I have ever had. She's a very genuine person, and has a heart of gold. Her class is based on university preperation, not an easy credit where she holds your hand. She teaches the most practical way possible, and is always there to help you and guide you towards understanding of all concepts. Without her I would have not applied or even thought about going into engineering because I never thought I could, but she gave me the confidence to do so, and that's priceless.

Go Helma! PS. Her marking system: 50% section reviews and 50% tests, which means if you hand in all of your work you pass. Then the exam is out of whatever the highest mark was, so I ended up acing the exam. All of the test questions are just applications of your applications and the exam questions are copies of those questions (sometimes made simpler). Easy marks if you actually do your work!

The smartest woman I've ever met. If you show her respect, she'll reciprocate. She, like any other high school teacher, does not have the patience to tolerate incompotence, hence her lack of popularity among the uneducated and unfocused demographic in the school. She is the reason I decided to pursue engineering, and for that I am forever grateful. Thank you Mrs. Rollings!

If you want a teacher that knows what she's teaching then you would want Mrs. Rollings. She knows physics inside out, and I appreciate what she has taught me and the help she has given me. If you put the effort into the class, then you'll appreciate her as much as I do. I love you Mrs. Rollings<3

The only reason why people think she doesn't explain concepts well is because they don't understand basics of physics. This is not because they weren't taught well, but because they didn't pay attention. She is a really great teacher who marks fairly, will go through common mistakes, and knows her stuff. Just compare the tests and exam with your section reviews: If you hadn't noticed, they're the exact same.

If you could go through all the people that gave bad ratings, I am almost sure you will find most of them did not put in the required effort for this class. Its university prep physics, not arts and crafts. Mrs rollings was a great teacher, even if i did not realize it at the time. She knows all of her stuff very well, you just have to ensure you do too. Take it from a first year engineering student that did not fail physics.
