Over all, he is a good teacher, he truly wants you to pass his class and will let you do the evaluation that you failed over again. However, he has a very conventional type of class which he only writes on the board and you copy word for word what he is writing... This class can hurt your soul when it’s pass 4pm… Also, he will give you 15 pages about a theory and will ask you to summarize it in less than 200 words or some shit like that which is almost impossible… but overall he's a good teacher

READ THIS to know if you wanna take him or not, i had him for 2 semesters. If you want to have a good grade you have to attend every class, or atleast obtain the notes from each class. All take home exams and essays. Term paper at the end of the semester is pretty annoying though, you have to get documents on reserve from the library and its usually due after the end of classes. He is very knowledgeable, speaks clearly. Does not force anyone to participate. I would recommend.

This guy is 100% oldschool, he NEVER uses ANY technology whatsoever but a photocopier so he can give you his scanned handwritten assignment instructions... His courses are 90% copying what he writes on the board and 10% discussing what you just copied, but only 2-3 ppl ever speak. If you don't mind feeling like you're in a class from a century earlier, then he is a great teacher, very passionate about his subject, explains very well and always makes sure everyone passes, just don't fall asleep

DROP HIS CLASS!! If you see this name on your schedule avoid it. The worst teacher I've ever had. His classes are so boring and he never ends them early. All you do during his class is watch him go on and on about the subject and take notes where half the time you can't even make out his hand witting. Class discussions are never really class discussions, they're more of a silent/staring game. He's a hard marker. Only good thing about him is that he only gives essays and take-home tests.

Don't take this teacher. As others have said, his classes are 100% notes and extremely boring. He is late to class a lot but will never EVER end the class early. He's a tough grader too. His tests are take-home, but limit you to 549 words which is never enough to explain everything you need to explain. "Discussion" classes mostly consist of him silently staring at everyone hoping someone will ask a question. If someone does, he goes off on a tangent talking to that one person for 10 minutes.

DO NOT TAKE HIM. absolutely hated his class, barley anyone would show up to class. if you do have him i highly suggest bringing a laptop to take notes. He hand writes his notes on the board throughout the whole class and NEVER ends a class a second early even when hes done teaching material. Only thing that was a benefit was that all his tests/exams were take home because "he doesnt like to waste a second of class time". He also doesnt use omnivox at all!

DO NOT TAKE THIS GUY. WORSE TEACHER EVER.
Hajaly is not a good idea. He spends hours on end writting all (I mean every single freaking word) the notes by hand on the board and repeats himself endlessly. Waits for ppl to discuss even when no one wants to (AKWARD).
Assignements demand a lot of info in not enough words which inevidably results in him writting a novel on your copy about the things you should have included (which you couldn't with so few words).

His class is very boring, and is 100% notes. If you want to do well, take all the notes exactly how he has them written because thats how he wants them answered. He doesn't make the suject very interesting or clear, but if you take all the notes & make use of his office hours you will be fine. He doesn't put any marks up. All assginments are take home. He is always late.

Great guy. But terrible teacher! He lives in a different era and can't use a computer for his life... If you love taking notes (that are all written on the board) for 100% of class time and love philosophy then you should take his class. He is so monotone and boring, not built to be a teacher. He over complicates all theory that could be extremely easy to understand in point form. good luck not dying during your semester with him.

Wow people are WAY too hard on him. Look at it this way: His class sucks, but you shouldn't blame him, you should blame philosophy, it's hard enough as it is. With that being said the class is easy if you show up to class and copy his notes. YES you will copy the whole class, but would you rather copy notes and have easy assignments or do nothing in class and stress out over every little thing? however, avoid him if you aren't good at essay writing, 100% of the mark are essays. Great philosopher

MR Hajaly is a boring teacher doesn't make things interested , he is old, cant hear very good and writes word for word on the board. His writing is not the best .However when showing up and paying close attention the work is truly a breeze , however in his class topic you can always state your opinion and will always have an open debate ..Get ready to copy 4-5 pages of notes a day lol and will have 4 major written assignments which he writes all over stating his opinion no matter your grade. lol

Does not make class very interesting, but the topics are quite fascinating. He writes everything word for word on the board, so if you write everything down, your assignments are a breeze. He's a pretty fair marker and as long as you do the final assignment, you shall pass the class. He will take late assignments with a small penalty which is something like .5% per day late late. Very easy to space out in his class though.
