I had Rivalin when I was in high school at Charleswood (when it was still a high school) in the early 1980s. She is, hands down, the worst teacher I've ever had. She's from an era when teachers didn't have to care about their students, or their feelings -- and her cold, evil, snakelike character was evident in everything she ever did in class. This heartless piece of trash would never be allowed out of teacher's college today -- too bad for me and my fellow classmates, we were born too early.
Knows her stuff. She is there to teach, and has a great efficient no-nosense attitude. Really enjoyed her class, and appreciated her sticking up for me at the PT interviews.
I became a high school math teacher, and know how hard math is to teach, but you were too strict and harsh. I don't know how I made it!
I'm sorry but I love Mrs. Rivalin, she's so funny.. very very tough though.. but she's great :)
