Mr. Scarpitti is definitely knowledgeable in math. I had him 3 years in a row, 2 of them in AP. You really have to listen to his lessons and ASK QUESTIONS. He will happily answer any questions you have and explain it in different ways until you understand. He doesn't spoonfeed, so be prepared to address any issues you're having. His tests are difficult and have a few trick questions which are not in his lessons, but his exam is very general and a mark-booster. He also has a dry sense of humor.

Extremely condescending and even offensive at times. This man was of no help to me during my math course. Has a superiority complex and acts as if math is the only course students are taking, which leads to unrealistic homework demands. I found that he purposely made the tests difficult and wanted to see people struggle. There is a difference between working for a mark and killing yourself for one. Knowledgable, but had yelled at students for asking questions.

Knows what he is talking about but has trouble explaining it. Can be quite condescending and mean to students and expects students to know everything before he teaches it. Is pretty good about homework and is understanding usually

Absolutely hate him, constantly yelling at the students and calls us stupid and hates us. Constantly telling us we will have to redo this course and is EXTREMELY negative and I would rather teach myself then have him, worst teacher at bressani

Had him as a calculus teacher. At first he put up a mean front, but as time went on, he became much easier to talk to and was actually really funny! If you show him you care, as well as complete all the homework he assigns, he will respect you and give you extra help. Doing all the homework definitely helped with his tests. The hardest part about his tests were the thinking section however if you practice thinking questions from the text book, it helps a lot. Overall great teacher!
