Keast is a very enthusiastic and passionate teacher. My experience in his class have been amazing as he is a great teacher. Although his tests can be harder than usual tests, if you pay attention and do some work you should do well in his class. I certainly recommend his class if you are looking for a great history course.
Mr. Keast Is passionate about everything he talks about, and is very enthusiastic about the course material, although I agree that he repeats a lot about the Rwandan Genocide, he knows his stuff, and to see that much enthusiasm in a history teacher, is a breath of fresh air, although his tests crush my soul. Overall, I you do well speaking Infront of the class, you will get a pretty good mark in his class.
Rwandan Genocide! That is all he talks about and it isn't even part of the curriculum. He is incredibly unorganized and he forced most of the students in my class to write a full essay while also studying for four exams just because he didn't feel like marking the rough copies until the day before exam break! His tests are impossible but if you are doing an oral presentation as long as you speak you get perfect.
He is incompetent and disorganized; the worst teacher I have ever had. He refuses to teach the curriculum and constantly talks about his EX wife and his travels. He makes things up as he goes and wastes time. He shouldn't be a teacher AT ALL
He refuses to admit mistakes. He screws over his students because he never actually teaches. Awful teacher and coordinator.
He pays way too much attention to the IB students - and even then, he can't teach them properly either. He is way too distracted and very rarely has actual classes prepared - he just assigns random work that is "relevant" in a long-winded way. Very ambiguous. He talks a lot about his visits around the world and then attempts to relate that to the course material. He always wants his name known around the school or in the newspapers, so if you're "famous", you'll do well.
Keast is a teacher that actually teaches his students something. Learning from him is fun and he makes class interesting, which is more than some teachers now.
I love Mr Keast! My detailed description of my experience with R Keast includes: A tremendous amount of passion towards everything of interest to him. Kindness and patience with those who need extra t
mr keast was one of the best history teachor ever i got the second highest mark on a ib style exam and 100% on the summative
One of my favourite teachers. So helpful, and so clear. He always relates what we are learning to his personal experiences and it's so interesting!
The history classes that he teaches makes you want to come back the next day for the next part in the lesson. Never a dull moment with Mr. Keast!
i love it when he just talks about the stuff he's passionate about. he knows a lot. he has a lot going on with ib and sports though, so our class sometimes isn't his biggest priority.
Keast is such a genuine, caring and knowlegable person. Anyone who has the chance to take his class, should. You will learn more than you know.

Keasto is an amazing teacher. Off the bat at the start of a class, he grabs our attention, and holds it until the end. Tests are difficult, but he always provides plenty of time to study. Great man, great class, great great. Great.
the only teacher in georgetown who can boast that he has actually demolished a wall in rhodes! had an amazing time in greece and looking forward to spain next year. great times in history class, too, making a typically boring class really fun and intriguing. the trebuchet debate was entertaining too
Mr. Keast is one of the best teachers I have ever had. His lessons never include any dull moments, he is very passionate about teaching. He's also very fair and understanding, he will give you a second chance as long as you take the penalty.
I had him for three years in a row and found him to be one of the funnest teachers in the school, even better then Mrs. Sherlock. His knowledge is surpassed by none, and his stories make for nice breaks when taking notes.
AWSOME Teacher!! Really knows what he's talking about, deffinately spends time putting lessons together. Whenever he's really making a point, he gets louder and you have no choice but to pay attention. Japan day was awsome:D
Very knowlegable, very helpful. All around nice guy who really loves to teach. He's Tough but fair
Amazing knowledge of what he teaches, and he is a great musician and a really nice guy. when we went to france, he just knew all this french history off the top of his head
An amazing teacher, not one I'd soon forget. France=amazing. We heart Mr. Keast!
nicknamed "Obi-Wan Keastobi" by us. He's been everywhere. I love this guy. France trip wouldn't have been the same without him.
Keasto's the man! Let's not deny it. He needs to bust out the hooka in class one day!
Your knowledge of the world will triple after his class. He is also has the best laugh in the league.
It wasn't until I graduated high school that I realized what a great teacher Keast is. Right on!
Very fun. Only Keast could give me the idea to do the Terra Cotta Army Complex for my Ancient Civ summative. I also want my essay back!
