If you are not a 90 average student and feel confident in math, switch out. He slaps a textbook on you desk you never use, yet he insists you bring it to class. I personally have never been the best at math, yet still understood it. yet in mr.tsangs class, I had no idea what was going on because he refused to teach. I passed his class, but i don't feel like I've learnt anything.
Mr. Tsang wasn't a great teacher. He was a good person, but he was very easily distracted and didn't teach much during lessons. If you're good at math, his class is sort of neat because he never checked homework and didn't really teach, but if you're struggling in math, his class isn't one you would want to be in. Most classes he would be talking about math for less than 30 minutes because of how distracted he could get.
He is a very nice and funny teacher. i learned a lot and he even gave me a cupcake
He was teacherlike and gave me cancer. Best teacher ever!1!1!
TBH I didn't get his jokes at all.. He basicly throws a package to you and you will do it most of them without his explanation. It always takes him 30 - 40 mins to let the class "settle down" and at the end of his every class I felt that I learned nothing. If you are not good at math DROP IT! or you are screwed
BTW he will only be nice to students he likes or his favorite. If you are the one he doesn't like, you will barely get a respond when you ask him questions.
I love Mr. Tsang. Hes the best
He is worst than aids. You are better off drinking acid than staying in his class.
I'm just going to get this straight, I was a straight 90 student in math my whole life (including my year in his class). Once you get out of it I realized that he literally taught me nothing, and I can't complete a review package from a different teacher. Unless you're one of those kids that cheat the system and learn the math before hand, you are screwed for years to come.
Teacher? He doesn't teach at all! But he's super friendly and fun to be around. If you learn math outside of school, you'll do just fine, otherwise, you're screwed. Always gives us 10 minutes (which often ends up being 30 minutes) to "settle in." Never uses the textbook, not a lot of homework.
Mr.Tsang was actually a lot better this year than last year when he didn't really do much. This year he actually teaches you stuff except he just kind of.. Takes his time teaching you ONE thing. He's either in a hella good mood or in a hella bad one. He might not answer your questions or respond to you often if you are not his favourite student or you're just a student that he dislikes. But overall I'm learning the things I'm supposed to and I'm understanding it so I ain't complaining.
He is the worst Math teacher Ever. He doesn't teach at all. I couldn't believe that he has attended Teacher's College.
i am not in his class, i do not know who he is, all i know is that he talks to geese and he has been quoted saying the following, "When you are eating broccoli, you are eating math."
Made my Tetris high score in this class
Best teacher of the world
hands you a textbook at the beginning of the semester that you never open once. OPEN YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL EYES!
its not that he cant teach, its just that he doesnt. his tests r super easy but considering he doesnt teach, theyr hard. he spent like the first half hr of most of our classes just letting us "settle into the class" and "get prepared" so we were super behind in all the lessons. if u rlly ask him to help u, hes decent at explaining, so if u hav him, either get a tutor(which is what I did) or bug him everyday after class
Doesn't explain anything, chooses favorites, humiliates people in front of the class and doesn't answer any questions. Can a teacher be any worse?
If you can understand his accent you're good. He doesn't really explain things though... ever. However he has the easiest tests, but unless you do math outside of school, good luck.
One time, we spent the whole class singing Christmas carols! I'll just leave it at that ;) Overall, is a good teacher but can make you uncomfortable by staring into your eyes for a long time!
He choses favourites and if he doesn't like you he will not answer your questions, but when his "favourite" asks him a question he will sit down and fully explain to them for 10 minutes. Completely unfair! Close to failing this course even when I'm actually trying to understand the material.
He was the worst teacher i've ever had. Every question I asked that he didn't know the answer of he avoided the question. He never used the textbook and never taught real lessons. Just handed out work sheets and only the kids who did math outside of school could do them. I barley passed. Transfer out asap. Yes, he is very funny, but he's not a good teacher.
The most adorable teacher ever. If that is even the right word to describe him LOL. He's nice and not strict at all. He likes to joke around and is friendly but when it comes to teaching, yea, nope. He doesn't really teach much haha. He just gives worksheets and we NEVER used the textbook. But if you're decent in math you'll probably be fine. You have fun but it gets super overwhelming when he stares at you while you work.
"My students can hear me laughing from Beijing."
Mr. Tsang is honestly my favourite person in the world. He lets you work at your own pace and is basically the ideal teacher for students who like to self-learn. He takes time to find interesting questions to challenge his students. Plus, he's adorable.
Mr Tsang is quite simply the funniest teacher in all of mankind.
If you're decently smart, you'll do alright in his class. Be prepared to self learn though.
He blabbers a lot, it's true, but if you like his sense of humour, it's all good.
And his tests are pretty easy too. (y)
Quotes: - Look, there's geese outside! - Whenever you eat broccoli, you are eating math. - OPEN YOUR BEAUTIFUL EYES. - Let's go on a math walk. - Would you like to come to a math party with me?
"all the canada goose stay outside the window when i am teaching in the portable because they want to learn math"
NOT a good teacher. his english is pretty good but hes super awkward and not good at explaining. not very helpful, and kinda makes u feel uncomfortable lol. its fine if ur good at math but u still have to pay attention and FOCUS focus focus if youre not that great at math good luck if u have him.
"The birds want to learn math too.."; "Let's go for a math walk"
If you are in his class, math will NEVER BE THE SAME EVER AGAIN.
he's not that bad. he can be funny and he really does love math, to the point that he acts a bit weird. if you try hard, you're good with him. he's a cool teacher to me and doesn't let teasing bother
Mr. Tsang is epic, for the first time in my life I am beginning to appreciate the beauty of math. He loves math more than anything in the world and it shows in his teaching. He's quite a funny man.
he is sometimes hard to understand and wouldnt explain v well. he finds out who the hardworkers and troublemakers are, and will treat u accordingly. sometimes in bad mood. generally hes a good teacher
he was a good teacher that would help out students if needed help. one of the best i ever got!
Difficult to get used to his method of teaching. Once you've adjusted, he's one of the best math teachers around. Very intelligent and encourages independent thinking
has favorites... nice to you if you dont make trouble, try to listen... amazing accent ;) haa
One of the best teachers ever. He's probably one of the weirdest foreigners ever, but he helped me pass math in summer school with a good mark. Also he LOVES rubix cubes and its hilarious.
Hilarious and helpful. Easy to understand despite his accent
One of the greatest math teachers. explains things very clearly and easily understood!!
he's a nice man,but noone understands him eventhough he tried hard. he shows favortism towards some students, its unfair, however everyone should respect him.
Very nice man. Cared about his students doing well. Not always very clear.intesting analogies...jellybeans and apples :)
cant speak eng...and cant communicate....but very nice!!!!!!!!!!!!
worst teacher EVER.Didn't learn a thing and was unprepared for gr.10 math.
Yeeesss Yeeess You are rice..........WORST TEACHER.(Clap) HELLLOO DANNY. RIGHT.
Be quiet all of you - you just don't understand because you don't listen!
he's not as bad as people say-he's really nice if you shut up and listen
maybe i wuldnt haf failed if he knew how to speak eng
he's the funniest teacher ever, but i don't think it's on purpose
Math is a language by itself! You don't need english to teach it... UR GOOD!
