Mr. Benum is one of the best teachers I've ever had. If you ask him a question, he answers your question with many examples and makes sure that you learned the lesson. WE <3 Mr. Benum.
Amazing tech. teacher, not to mention his Computer Science classes are bomb.
Mr Benum is a very nice and calm person. Computer science was definitely fun but not easy. He can be monotone at times reading off the overhead. Overall I would recommend as you learn a lot in his class!
Bees in the computer 5/5
Best teacher ever
Great teacher! Can be a little monotone sometimes but overall great guy and knowledgeable about his subject, makes CompSci fun!
Best teacher! Very clear, understands that his subject can be difficult for some and does not push loads of work, yet he makes CompSci engaging and fun.
So boring. He can talk for hours about nothing. Whenever I raised my hand he would take at least an hour to get to me. He also doesn't know what he's doing and has awkward pauses in the middle of his speech
Very helpful teacher. Will give you extensions on projects very easily.
computer courses are easy. should increase the content for computer course at thorn ss
Never had a class with him but he's a really nice guy. :)
Amazing teacher and ski coach! I ended up in his class because of a computer error (it read ICE as ICS), and I've gone from wondering why I'm doing CS to probably doing it for the rest of my life. And he does a great job of teaching Attention-Deficit kids with computers in front of them too
The internet is RIGHT THERE! I couldn't help myself! Nonetheless he does attempt to control the classes attention somewhat, and works well to get his lessons across. Very nice teacher, and a very fun class.
He's so nice, but sometimes I can't help but doze off
One of my favorite teachers of all time. He knows his stuff, and is able to teach it in a (boring) yet effective way. Sometimes gets annoying though.
Really nice and is willing to help but can be boring at times.
i felt as if the student teacher (whose english was quite difficult to understand most of the time) taught us much more effectively than mr. benum. for the most part it was straight textbook learning, but he is a good guy and will [try to] help you if you ask him questions.
He doesn't really teach you himself, you have learn on your own. I guess he's good if your into programming.
Benum is very patient which is good for me as I had a lot of trouble with Java. He makes you learn by getting you to find your own answers in the book. He's an easy marker and will help after school.
he lacks enthusiasm when he teaches but he's the nicest teacher in the world. He's patient, understanding, and an easy marker! He makes the course really enjoyable! :D
best courses you'll ever get is with this guy. its too bad we're losing computer students, barely kept a class going this year. keep computer information science alive!!!
Knows his stuff REALLY well, but isnt too good at teaching.
He's really awesome. He's always more than willing to help out his students, and he has quite the patience when doing so. I mean it when I say that computer science would not be the same without him
Benum is the coolest teacher. he will give you help when you need it even if you have no clue what your doing. hes a fair marker and also very patient. TAKE CS with him.
nice guy very knowledgable and fair if he makes a mistake he will correct himself
Very kind teacher. He even went to Africa to help unfortunate kids. I admire him. One thing is, sometimes, he does talk a bit slow ;)
well as u know he always has 1 of his favourits i wasnt 1 so 54 waz ma mark he iz aight but kinda slow
This guy favours some kids WAY to much. (like he lets them take LEDs from the school and doesn't make them pay) Other than that, he's a good teacher.
Well he always favours some kids over others. Talks slowly but he can funny! (but there's this ONE kid which he LOVES)
Very good teacher. Probobly one of the only computer teachers who actually knows anything about computers (sorry Shewchuck......)
Introduced me to the wide world of computing, and never got less than 95 in his classes.
