I loved that class. She is an amazing teacher and Icannot wait to have her again next year
Mrs. Clark is one of the most passionate teachers I've ever had. She made learning chemistry fun and she really knew what she was talking about from her many years of experience in the workforce before teaching. Her lessons and notes can be a bit confusing sometimes, but asking for help after class really helps clear up any misconceptions. She is a hard marker and expects you to be very specific, which is good preparation for university. I'm happy to have had her for grade 11 and 12 chemistry!
Certainly one of the worst teachers that I've ever encountered. She does not provide you with help and teaches at a very fast pace. It's very tough checking for clarification from her if you needed help cuz she says one thing then says another. She assumes that we are familiar with the things that she knows when we obviously do not. Although, she is well educated on Chemistry, she is not a suitable High School Chemistry teacher. How do you expect us to get into University if u continue teaching!
Mrs. Clark is a great teacher. I know that her teaching to prepare you for university can get tough but its definitely worth it. She is very knowledgable yet still a down to earth and caring teacher. Her university preparation is well needed, especially her labs. If you have her, you are very lucky and enjoy yourself but still work hard!
I could not have asked for a better teacher in all the science courses she has taught me. I'm quite surprised she is not department head. Mrs. Clark is an extremely knowledgable teacher that does an incredible job preparing her students for university. I wish all my teachers were as intelligent and hard working as her. Such a positive experience I had!
Mrs. Clark Dear, look you were a great Chemistry teacher. But please please, if you are teaching phyiscs 11, then please take up tricky practice word problems and misconceptions, and conepts before tests and quizzes. Look, when you give me suggestions I did not as a student take them for granted. I expect the same from you, dear madam. Physics can be our best subject if you stop filling our throat with lectures. Believe me, in Uni they lecture, plus they have tutorials, and and we need tohaveit
Peace be to you beloved Mrs. Clark. You were my beloved physics 11 teacher that I expected to masterafter coming with a good math 10 background. My perfectionism cost me a lot of trials. By God, by end of that sem, I got used to your lectures, and came to love Uni.level courses for learning not just for formal means to get to Uni. I should have realized that I to be in your class, I must be with a healthy heart and your pickiness was admirable. May my life even be yours since you sacrifice a lot
Ms. Clark is one of the most hardworking teachers I have ever had. This woman dedicates her life to preparing her students for university. sure, she marks her labs quite hard and the application questions on her tests are quite tricky, but it doesn't matter, since it is the world's biggest help in university, where it really counts. Her dedication to her students is admirable, and the preparation for university is indispensable.
She does make you work hard, but come on people! It's a university level course! I'm in university now, and she really helped sososo much. Everyone else in class was behind, and I was all like, "I got
Not clear with her explanations and instructions. Has high expectations from students. Not sure if she is still teaching, but Pine Ridge seriously needed new Chemistry teachers in year 2008!
She is very picky (especially labs).Do ur homework on a regular basis. SHe needs to work on her introductions when she starts a new chapter.Do ur text reading regularly, don't depend on her(not worth)
i agree, dont hate her b/c you dont understand chem. shes a really nice person and offers help if you ask her. she makes sure she preps u well for university. make sure u stay on top of the work!
I love mrs. Clark, ya, she is a hard marker, but it ends up being beneficial in the end when you actually understand all of the material ... don't hate her because you didn't understand chem
Way too much homework and a pretty hard marker. She would give us hw for stuff we hadn't learnt yet. Doing hw i would get soooo confused!!!
University chem first year is MUCH EASIER (I'm at UFT, life science), so don't loose hope of your dreams like so many of my friends did after having her
she marks too hard. we have to get INTO university first, so she could defintely ease up on the marking scheme. resists helping sometimes and that gets annoying
miss clarke is a nice teacher, but she needs to focus on teaching her students who need help than talking about her family all the time
she is a nice teacher, but she can not teach. if your not extremely smart you will not understand. i had to end up teaching myself in her class.
AWESOME TEACHER!!! she's the reason im in UBC!!! thank you sooo much!! i never would have made it with out you!!
she might be a nice person but teaching aint her job
Nice person, but marking is extremely hard. I agree with everyone else when they say that she's too smart to be a high school teacher.
never understood what she was saying.way too smart for highschool.
The material is extremely hard, but now in Univ. it helped alot. As a person though she can get really irritating!!!!!
good teaching....hard material in great detail...sometimes too great of detail
There is nothing Trivial about this Great Teacher, A true Highlander!
You don't realize how great she taught until you're in Univ. so ahead!
Drives me crazy - I don't care what you wrote your thesis on...
Very difficult material presented but explained well and much time spent helping
Nice lady, but probably too smart to teach high school...
