First teacher who actually made me think and challenged my views to see why I had my views. He is very knowledgeable in history. He was not afraid to tell you that your work was up to your par. He made class fun every single day. His tests are hard and he is a very hard marker. Have fun in your retirement Turner.

Amazing teacher, really funny. I love his sarcastic jokes and the little bits of knowledge he shares with the class. Terrible handwriting, though.

Easily one of the best social science teachers imaginable. When his course ended, I experienced severe withdrawal symptoms. Extraordinarily effective communicator, incredibly intelligent, delivers course material very efficiently. Difficult tests, but you just have to take notes and study properly. For the duration of the semester, the class was hanging on his every word. I seriously doubt I'll ever take such a compelling academic course again. Sadly, he's close to retirement.

I miss him! I am taking a globalization course at Ottawa U and I want Turner back. I learned way more with him than at university. I even logged into myfiles to read old documents of his to study for a mid term. People are right about his tests, but they aren't so bad if you study for them. I never studied for anything, but I was able to bring my mark from a 67 to an 85 by just reviewing what I learned in class. This man is so smart and an excellent teacher!

Great teacher. His classes are extremely interesting and he always adds a touch of humour, and tells stories on the side to help you remember things. Sometimes he just tells you random interesting facts. Relatively hard marker, but he gives marks where they are deserved.

Had him in grade 10, loved him. Best teacher ever. Once you get to grade 12, he's deathly. I regret taking his grade 12 course. He plays favourites. Isn't as open minded towards his grade 12 students.

Great teacher. Really makes students think, and when he "imposes his views," he actually isn't. He will always disagree with a student to play "devil's advocate," and make a student really think.

He is a nice person. I can't seem to figure him out. I think though he forces some of his own views of social issues on others however, won't say who he is voting for. He taught me a lot. His work is really hard & tricky though.

Mr. Turner ROX! I never knew history was so interesting, but it turns out I was just being tought badly. Mr. Turner really knows what he's tlaking about and he makes it interesting. I don't think I'll ever forget the things he's teaching me because he makes them so interesting and memorable.
