Yes, his classes are long and yes, it's not always super interesting but the fact is he would always go over the material that would be on the test the class before so you could literally nap for like 3 weeks straight, take notes during that one review class and get 100% on the tests. Excellent Friday morning class if you show up hungover (just nap and drink your gatorade).
I had him in Working in Canada. He's the worst teacher I have ever had. He doesnt like french people and is a hard marker. Easy to cheat in his tests. Talks for 3 hours non-stop. Can't argue with him
I took hym for Working in Canada, it was twicce a week for 2h. It was a pretty long class, the material is kinda useless. to pass the test you need to listen in class and do your long readings. the research work that he want are relly not clear in his outline. he is actually a nice guy, he is really approchable
He is very knowledegeable but likes to get off topic which makes it very hard to understand what is his point.
He is a very nice teacher, there's no doubt about that. The only thing that I did not really like about his class (Canada: Who needs it?) is that he would go on and on and on and on about the subject, but sometimes about little anecdotes about life or whatever. I mean it's not that bad but its a long class.
Okay so basically... He gives a very good lecture, yeah... but this is only once a week, and then you tend to forget what you learn, he doesn't help with reviewing and the quizes that he gives out aren't very fair because even if you understand things they get too specific and you can easily mess up when you know you understand the issues... he's not a bad teacher but he's not a great teacher either...
Pretty good guy. If you ever get in a argument or discussion with him, don't go against him because he won't quit until you admit he's right. Not too hard to pass.
He talks A LOT. There's almost no interaction in his class. But assignments are easy: very light workload. He's an old school teacher but a very understanding and lovely old man. I loved his class:)
easiest teacher ever, there are no hidden things in his classes, he will tell you what is on the test and he's a really nice teacher. take him if you can. His lectures may be long but you learn ALOT
He may have been the most boring teacher i ever had to listen to...his lectures put you to sleep and he puts nothing on the board. So basically u need to take notes of what he talks about. BORING
Hated going to his class. His tests are hard and he talks a lot and puts random stuff on the tests. Not the easiest class. Realllyyy borringgg
This class was a joke, seriously it's almost free marks. The teacher is very understanding too (he will accept late assignment).
MOST BORING CLASS I HAVE EVER HAD. i hated going to this class. sure it was easy but seriously not even worth my time.
[Canada:Who Needs It] Super easy, just read the articles and pay attention 1 out of 10 lectures and you'll do fine. Lectures are pretty boring but very light workload.
Canada who needs it, was a joke. very little workload, multiple choices were easy. He is a very understanding teacher, so if you give something in late, he'll still take it. Very hard to fail his cour
His lectures do get boring (Canada: Who Needs It), but if u read the articles and hand in your work you'll get an 80. Really funny guy and tends to drift off topic A LOT!
Canada:Who Needs it. Not the easiest class and quite boring, but he's a super nice teacher and really funny.
Although I did not agree with everything in his class, he's a good teacher and does not have a ridiculously high workload. Listen, and do the work - there's not a lot - and you will get an 85 .
Working in Canada. Super long and incredibly boring lectures, but take a few notes, read the readings and you do great on the quizzes. His research reports are confusing, pick an easy topic!
"Canada: who needs it?" was the course I took. He's a good teacher and easy marker. Very light workload. You can get by and get great marks just by listening to his lectures. Sometimes a little dry!
If you are gullible, you will love him. If you are a smart then... just do what he tells you.
he's alright as a teacher, loves talking. nice guy, not bad of a marker either.
"Canada, who need it?" He is not clear on what he wants in "the summarys". His quizzes are 10 multiple choice questions, each worth a mark. I'm not happy with my mark, He repets himself a lot and in the quiz he asks odd q.
(Canada who needs it?) He talks and talks. I found the class very interesting, even if it was boring sometimes.
[Working in Canada] Big talker, but I found his rants interesting. Likes people who participate in class. His tests are 12 multiple choice questions. Impossible to fail if you pay attention. Nobody does, so it's great for CRC
He talks and talks and talks, but if you listen ull do fine. I took him for Canada: Who Needs It? very hard to fail if u try ur best. mostly gr 10 histry and gr 11 economics...
Canada: Who Needs it? ; Hard class to fail. The large majority of this class = gr. 10 history and gr. 11 economics. Only thing you need to worry about is on quizzes he asks questions about specific things he said in class.
very cool teacher, talks alotttttt though...very fair teacher...not to demanding. fair grader, fun teacherr
He's great. Depending on the course he teaches, he could be boring or interesting. Don't take the very morning class, you will fall asleep and find him boring. Stay awake, he teaches really interesting stuff!
VERY boring classes, and he wont let you sleep. Easy quizzes and its nearly impossible to fail the class, he is a very easy grader. He's nice and very passionate about the subject (Canada), but if youre not, don't take him.
This was BY FAR the best teacher I ever had at John Abbott. I took both of his humanities classes, and as it turns out, if you actually listen to his lectures, he is talking about interesting and controversial topics so relative to real life. I learned so much and for the first time in my life was excited to do research and write papers.
Really funny guy but loves loves looves to talk. His class is 3 hours and you get nice long breaks halfway through but be prepared to stick around until 11:25 almost each time. The material is kind of boring and the notes are kind of hard to understand. You need to listen to him to do well on the quizzes.
Canada Who Needs It? Cannot fail this class literally. You can sleep if you find it boring. If you want an interactive class you got it. Pipe up whenever you want he likes to talk. No h/w. Pass tests without doing the reading.
Paul is a really funny guy, but his Canada class is a bit boring!
Great, nice teacher. He's funny and always up-to-date. However, if the course content isn't for you, DO NOT take him because you'll fall asleep. If you know what he's talking about, you'll learn much.but he doesnt fail ppl...
had this teacher in humanities, the mass media.. the tests are pretty hard and his not an easy marker but hes so nice! and hilarious!
Paul is such a great teacher!Extremely funny guy!!!!!!!!Classes are never boring!
Class is verry boring, he just talks the whole time and occasionally you watch an equally boring movie BUT do the homework wich there really isn't much of and show up to class and you will pass. There are like 3 multiple choice tests wich are easy and an essay at the end of the year wich is not that hard at all. I'd recomend him.
Allright maybe going to bed at 2am and getting him at 8 for 3 hours wasn't the best thing, never was awake.. still hit a avg grade. Easy stuff . Gotta listen to his whole opinion which is around the same logic. So take that and just sleep, and ace ur tests. I lost marks on essay which i was really bad at.
He’s super nice and very helpful but his class is SOOO BORING. All he does is lectures for two hours straight. but even though the classes are so unexciting, I have to admit I did learn a lot when i was listening.
Good teacher. His three tests are all multiple choices and are based on the readings, the material covered in class, and the documentaries watched in class. Each test is worth 15%.
ALWAYS "all of the above"!!! Always. Great teacher, honestly 4 a humanities, worst subject in the world, take him! As good as it gets in terms of entertainment and grading!
Class is sometimes boring but he is really smart and i learned A LOT it was great
I am not good at multiple choice problems but unfortunatly that is the only type of quizzes he gives out...and most of the answers end up being "all the above".
I got a 90 on his class and i barely did any work, listen to what he says and read a couple of stories. he will not fail yuo if you do the work. plus his views are very insightful
the 3 hour classes are so boring. the course is easy enough but it's so long and painful to sit through!
Only 3 essays all semester. 4 quizes, all on what he said in class. theres point to what he says. no readings to do and you can do other work in his class. best humanities to take.
cool guy, pretty funny, likes to talk for 3 hours straight
Saw my joke as a threat but wtv, rather easy, just take notes and study for quizzes and it's a breeze (Canada..) I hate history and all but it was easy enough. No orals,3 small asgt
Hard to know how he grades the essays, like he has no clear criterias and his tests are annoying because they are multiple choice exclusively. However his class was very insightful
really cool guy, didnt think the course on canada would be good but he made it interesting. highly recommend
he'a a nice teacher. Be ATTENTIVE and do the work and for sure, you'll pass.take him
Hmm.. the media course was fairly easy, though I found that he tends to talk A LOT! confusing notes, and obscure test Qs. But nice guy!
His Canada class is just so-so, but his media class is great and will make you think critically about it. Very passionate about the topic. Easy class, nice guy
Very nice, helpful, and cares about his students. Rambles a bit, but course isn't difficult. (Try not to take a 3-hour humanities course - it's very painful)
Great guy, so-so teacher. I bet he can talk 24/7. Fairly easy class, can get quite boring.
Like most teachers.. complicates and psycho-babbles. Economy and history, yuck, sorta complicated at times (he goes on..)only fun when there's a discussion.
Good teacher, helps his students out and he wants you to pass, not only pass, but he wants everyone to do well. Take him.
A pretty funny guy & the class is easy, but it is hard to stay awake. Rambles...a lot, Asks for ppls opinions, but doesn't really listen, likes his own better.
Extremely boring class. He expects you to love it and to be into it.Takes attendances every class.
cool teacher, class is a little boring (cnd. who needs it) but do the work, even if you fail assignments, hand them in do the tests, u get a 60 no matter what
Excellent teacher,easy course.He uses lots of funny examples.Basically, it's 3 papers(2-3pages), 3 15-question tests (a-b-c answers) and a final in-class essay.
A fun class just try to stay awake and youll learn alot !
if you show up and listen this is an easy class. he tends to ramble, but overall he's very helpful. the multiple choice is worth 40% and it's the easiest thing.
Pretty decent class... kinda long/boring at times... just make sure you show up and hand stuff in. anti-american stuff is good thou:)
BORING class! bu all u have to do is sit and try to listen...his quiz multi-choice answers are normally " all the above"..i passed so its cool.
Talks a lot, sometimes boring, but super nice guy. He's fair and interested in his students, but such a nerd lol.
I loved his who needs canada class. You have to like politics though. The course is anti- american, easy, but tough to get over 90. One catch: he sure can ramble
very interesting, realistic teacher. fair workload, great guy, inspired me to want to be a teacher.
