He's very strict and can sometimes come off as being mean/harsh, but he is such a good teacher. He really cares about his students and how they do, and he gives the best feedback of all the drama teachers. I personally like the brutally honest feedback he gives because it makes his point very clear and leaves no mystery to what you should work on. I like how he treats us all with respect as opposed to some teachers who treat you as children. He really prepares you for the real world.
Drama is not an easy course, especially if you're in a double credit program. He will give you very good advice and only expect honesty. He's a great teacher, and he won't treat you like a baby
Such a brilliant teacher. Very good at what he does. A little hard to take in one mouthful but that's what life is. One of the best teacher's I've ever had and I'm always eager to go to his class. Blunt but justifies it. Overall a good guy.
He's a good teacher, not gonna lie. And he knows his stuff also doesn't take any BS from anybody. But he's hard sometimes he thinks he knows things or people that he actually knows nothing about He sometimes thinks that everything he says is right at least in his mind which isn't always pleasing because you should have your own opinions. He can also be really mean and judgy but as long as you stay on his good side you're fine. He needs to be more kind to people though, it'll improve his teaching
Mr. Griffin is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He cares so much about the students and the drama program and will always give help to those who ask for it. He is a hard marker but gives us a taste of the real world. He doesn't sugar coat anything - you know you can trust his opinions because he is so honest. A brilliant man.
WHen it comes to Mr. Griffen, people tend to be very divded. He suggested to my class today that the drama program wasn't for us and that we should think about maybe going into general. Sorry Mr. Griffen but you're the one who did our auditions!
He's probably one of the most knowledgable, passionate teachers I have ever met. I don't know how that man stores everything his head. On top of being an amazing teacher, he's an extremely talented artist and creator. 5 Stars.
Really great teacher, quite strict, but he gives you the marks you deserve, only thing is he has favrite students and he makes it obvious.
Mr. Griffin seems intimidating at first but once you get to know him, hes really great. Yeah he can be strict but he's also really funny, helpful, and great at what he does!
I had him this year for Drama class, I personally don't like his teaching style but I know a lot of people who do. He made me develope a performance anixity but that's just me..
he respects his students to share his true pinons on subjects, sometimes it can be seen as trying t impose his opinons, i beg to differ. its an opinion, not a cult trick. He teaches and helps those who care fr it and show they want to learn. won't take BS from anyone. rightfully.. he "gets" what being a teacher is, and does it successfully. sacrifces alot of his spare time to school, very greatul. he deserves a dog! :)
Mr. Griffin has the stange ability to make you really afrai for not doing something but not in a way that you'll dwell over it for the rest of the class. Again just do the work he gives and don't expect anything but honest advice. He will rarely congradulate you so if he ever does he means it. Just because he doesn't give you the praising that most new drama students are used to, that doesn't mean he doesn't like you. Don't complain or whine. He will not be affected by it. If you need advice go to him.
He is with out a doubt the best Drama teacher i have ever had! I will never forget him when I graduate.
Possibly one of the greatest teachers I have ever had, he makes things clear and teaches us so much. Though sometimes he seems intimidating, it is all for a purpose. Mr. Griffin is sooooo awesome.
One of those few teachers who actually respects teenagers and listens to what they have to say. doesn't mean he always agrees with it...great teacher. but dont expect a pat on the head unless you deserve it!
Great teacher, great insight, strick but fair, keeps the program intact, and prepares us for the real world.
He's good, no doubt about it.. you hate him when he's doing opro or a musical, no doubt about that. he can be condescending, but you can't argue with him cuz you knw he's right.. kind of sucks...
Pretty good teacher. Bit too much ego, but he's earned it to an extent. Wish he'd ease up on the "I am a gruff yet useful role model" act though, it's kinda old, Griff.
knows that he knows what he's doing :) he'll tell you exactly what you need to hear exactly when you need to hear it
Amazing drama teacher. Commands respect from all students and makes sure you do your best. Very honest. Very dedicated to the program. If you're dedicated he will help you succeed.
Extremely clear, helpful, knowledgeable, honest. Knows his stuff. People whine about his ego -- who cares? We're rating him as a teacher, not as a human being.
so easily swayed. i can just be like "yo, griff i'm going to the washroom" and he'll be like "ya go ahead". hes a very very easy teacher. dont do your work, be funny, and you're go
CONSTANTLY uses drama 4 his own ego trips + narcissism. direction is dedicated 2 funny "bits"-not on actual theme or character. + his ideas r very mainstream + simple. bitter guy.
DOesn't have favouites, but he wants to help the talented people who work hard: people who deserve the help.
Mr. Grif will teach you everything you would want/need to know abotu drama. He makes you work for his respect(yes he has favorites)Overall he's the best teacher out there! thanks!
just a teenager with cheesey/mainstream ideas and enjoys his power-trips. in grade 9 i thought he was cool... now i see right through him. and so will you.
Fantastic teacher!!! Expects and gets the best out of students without being a tyrant. Always there to help with after school stuff.
If you can't appreciate Mr. Griffin, gget over yourself. Greatest teacher. Get real and do your work. Doesn't play favourites, he plays talent and effort
plays favorites (halls). likes actors who aren't versatile and play themselves. so he's kinda annoying. but other than that hes alright.
Awesome man! He knows his stuff (that's what really counts - not like you know who!) Anyways - gotta love that man!
Wither he's a good eacher or a bad one in a students eyes, he is respected completly, and thats what makes the difference.
Not the kinda guy you wanna have, first year Grade 12 drama, knows almost everything, teachs SOOO well. But can be bitter, don't get "Griffed"!!!
Mr. Griffin rocks! He's so awesome and really makes you think! He doesn't put up with any BS which makes his class that much better!
A fantastic teacher. Can be kind of harsh, but it's never uncalled for. Truly dedicated to what he does.
not a nice man. haha NOOOOO he ROCKS ON ! i hope that you have a great summer Griff !
The Griff demands a lot. He knows what he's talking about so if you do your work and listen to him you can learn a lot.
Very intelligent and thoughtful man, be on his good side and all will be well...
He helped me break through a major wall in my life ... okay, bulldoze it down!!! So amazing. sosososo great. Just so good at what he does, he loves to do it, and loves when he does it well.
How to describe the Griff. Drama God. The kind of God who doesn't seem to care how you do but he does. He's so passionate about what he teaches.
he's one out of the small % of drama teacher who spends time&money for education
G-dawg is the funniest guy ever.. and he knows how to teach.
