Mr. Burnip is a talented musician. He's a bit quiet at times so I assume he's thinking of what to say next. He can be extremely funny with a sarcastic sense of humour. If you try your hardest and do your work, he will give you his time and you get good marks.
He is unbelievable, I can't understand his lessons and he is not helpful at all our class average has gone from like 80 I think to like 60 something it's ridiculous I got a 95 last year in music and now I'm almost failing the class I love music it has always been my favorite subject and now I hate going to his class The theory work is ridiculously hard and I can't do it
He is absolutely brutal. The theory he does is overwhelming, and our entire class (whos average used to be 80 is now at a 72) has ha their marks dropped dramatically. I do not suggest taking music with him. And I love music, it was my favourite class. WAS. Now I hate going. It is very stressful to see my once happy classmates saddened and hurt by him
I was VERY beginner in music, didn't even know how to hold my instrument on the first day, and I never really looked forward to this class. He was condescending and unhelpful, but not the worst as a person, just maybe not suited for the job. I had a really tough time in theory and had to work at it very hard to understand it and he got annoyed with me easily.
He is a really nice guy, but as a teacher he's kinda scary
I love Mr. Burnip! Even though he seems kind of a lousy teacher at times, he genuinely cares about his students. If only he could teach theory better...
Music was just too hard when I couldn't get a proper/helpful answer for theory or playing. He is an okay person, but his teaching skills are weak. He is much better if you know what you're doing.
He's a good teacher, but sometimes he can't explain stuff well. Mr.Bohn is best at it!!
half the time he passes me on to mr bohn to help me with my playing, or a theory question. switched out of his class for gr 12, just couldn't do it any more. does try though, which counts for somethin
Mr.Burnip is an okay guy. He is nice but tries to get the students to like him too hard. he is okay when it comes to teaching but Mr.Bohn is the best at that. Mr.Burnip dosen't explain himself well.
To be honest, Mr. Burnip isn't all that bad. However I do wish he didn't contradict himself so much. Also, he can't really teach music as well as Mr. Bohn. At least he doesn't know how to express what he's thinking like Mr. Bohn can.
Ohhhh man this guy is halarious! Not realy the best at teaching but he is pretty funny
Burnip Burnip Burnip......Hes a great teacher! Unfortunately, ive noticed that this past year, he has been lacking in teaching, and he seems to not care as much about his bands and his job...what happened sir? Mr Burnip is one of the best teachers ive had...ive had him twice for music, and two years for band....hes so helpful, and I really enjoy going into the music room and seeing him...I really hope that Mr Burnip can go back to being his normal cheery self!
hilairous! but is he depresed about something? he's really biter these days, or mayb im just noticng it now?
If you get to know Mr Burnip hes probably one of the coolest people. Although, he cant teach worth a penny. I still feel that he cares about students though.
Mr. Burnip is a really awesome guy if you get to know him. He does seem to lack the passion for teaching... though if I had to suffer through so much noise pollution everyday maybe I would too. He can't explain theory at all. The biggest thing with him is if you're going to be with him for a while, make an effort to get along with him and to know him and let him get to know you. He does geniuenly care and if you give him a fair chance, he does the same for you.
Mr.Burnip is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. He doesn't explain things well. He stares and doesn't say anything and it makes you feel really weird.
Sometimes strange, sometimes sensible. There's some really awkward moments around him sometimes, where he just looks at you and doesn't say anything........scary.......
He barely shows emotion, but at least he is WAY better than Mr. Bohn. You can't tell if he's mad or not, but he's a good teacher.
He has a good sense of humor, but cannot teach beyond that. He tends to stick out has head, and stare at you with a dopey smile. Also, if you ask him a question, he rephrases the question and says it back to you. Cool guy, but should have never become a teahcer.
Mrs. Burnip is the best music teacher that you will find in westmount he is helpful and trustworthy and a really cool teacher to talk to
he was a good teacher :) I miss him but I have to make due with Mr. Bohn :P he was funny and a fair marker. Say hi to Grace!
Dry sense of humour, once you understand him, you will find a great teacher and friend. There's Bohn kids and there's Burnip kids. Make the right choice!!
Mr Burnip rocks, he is a cool all around person and teacher once you get to know him. Has a great sense of humour and best of all he is a leafs fan!!
Mr Burnip is awesome. Very funny, great to get along with, always there to help, even if you aren't in his class
Sometimes comes across as awkward and unclear but is really a nice, and talented musician. I think I prefer Bohn though.
Hmmm I personally like Mr. Bohn more, but if I wasn't comparing to Mr. Bohn I'd say he was a decent teacher.
He's a great guy, but I think that Bohn makes a better teacher... no offense intended.
He won't stop making me laugh with that evil smile da i can't practice!!!
He takes some getting used to... He's hilarious when you get to know him, and he does have a lot of good things to say, if you're willing to listen.
Mr. Burnip can be unclear, but I like him more than Bohn. His lessons are far shorter, and he's a lot easier to talk to (as a person)
although he's very unclear sometimes... burnip is a nice guy who you can talk to, unlike bohn.
He only says what he has to, plus some jokes. He marks harder then Mr Bohn though.
