She has been one of yhere worst teachers I have ever had she is rude telling kids to quote Shut up . She rants every class about the literacy test and if you stand up to her she will target you. She dosent give great feedback she tells you what you did wrong not what you need to work on
By far the best teacher i have ever had and the sweetest woman❤️ She is very understandable when it comes to struggles like family problems, however doesnt tolerate laziness which is where some people get confused with her being mean however it is only tough love❤️ She definitly prepares you for university❤️ She is by far the best teachee and an overall amazing person, i will be writing to her and asking her to edit my work past highschool and i will always keep in touch💘
She doesn't take shit from anybody. If you don't have your assignment done and you give her a terrible excuse for it, that's when she'll get angry. Haygarth was the best teacher I've ever had and one of the kindest women I have ever known. In all honestly she totally prepares you for university and sitting in a university English class, it's unbelievably boring because she's already taught everything to you, and the way she did it is much more exciting. She truly is a wonderful teacher.
Noted as one of the hardest marker in the school for a good reason. Classes are fun. But slow at the beginning of the year. Most people get o.k marks in the class some emotionally weak ones either drop out of cry after the first week. I suggest having her from Gr 9-11 NOT 12 or it may affect your chances. Great challenge of a teacher. If you make it out of her class with a alright mark.
Mrs Haygarth may be viewed as evil and is out to screw you out of a getting good marks but that is completely false. she may mark extremely hard but if you need/want a certain mark she will do everything in her power to get you that mark and her classes are hilarious. as long as you follow the guideline on assignment and pay attention in class she will never get mad at you. if you show initiative and ask how you can improve something she will even stay after school if you need help.
with haygarth you will learn a lot, but she's hysterical and over dramatic, which can detract from the amount she's ACTUALLY able to teach you. can be cruel and condescending and honestly will very quickly give you some sort of low level anxiety. many assignments are unreasonable and a waste of time. immediately get out of her class if you need a high mark in the senior levels, you won't get one
She is really knowledgeable! But with that said, she is really cruel. You ask her for help, and all she does is tell you what you did wrong. She also spends most of her time ranting, and is very hypercritical. She says that writing essays for an exam or test within two hours is pointless, yet makes you do exactly that. She is okay when it comes to editing, but if you need high grades.. Get Out of Her Class
Ms. Haygarth is really knowledgable and will teach you a lot. BUT! She is an insane marker, and expects you to have University level work in high school. So, if you have her in grades 9 or 10, great! You'll learn a lot. But, if you have her in grade 11 or 12 (where your marks matter a lot) I would switch out of her class.
Always trying to help students. Always has advice to give. And gives somewhat positive criticism
lol about her editing. if you wanted something edited before you sent it off for a scholarship who would you want to edit it for you. the thing is that she actually shows you how to edit things yourself.
i like her as a person to talk to, but when it comes down to her marking you as a student nd her editing, it feels like she is tearing you apart and wants to break you down. she is defintaly a hard te
Very fair. some creative assignments (crest for KL and scene presentation). I also liked chapter charts instead of chapter questions. An interesting way to spend a July. I hated the heat!
She started me healthy essay writing, the poet's marketplace was probably one of my favourite projects I ever did, the magazine design project was very creative as well, good times in that class.
Best english teacher i have ever had, her approch is tough love so stick it out and you will learn alot and get the mark you deserve. She also looks out for her students
great 3u experience at ss. funny but serious all the time. thanx 4 letting us redo things. it helped my mark
do your work and don't take advantage of second chances and you'll do well, amazing teacher i learned SO much but she really makes you work! totally worth those late nights!
Haygarth is the one of two teachers I still talk to from high school. She was great for 3U English and Writers Craft :) I love Patti!
name one other teacher that would stay and help you with your essay until 7:30 and then drive you home.
y dont u teach 4u? ur bomdiggity and i dont care if you tell the same stories over and over.they are funny
arthur's marketplace was to much work for 8% but more fun than an essay so whatch gonna do,eh. she makes you work but you learn. there's always a trade off with her.
By far, the best teacher i have ever had. Although, i diddnt get the credit, ill never forget the days spent in 2D english. Thanks Patti ;D
best thing I can say about this teacher is I read the book; never did that before. fun retoric presentaitons
good teacher she helped me change who i was as in working style and now i do a bit better thanks
you learn alot more than english in her class. she is full of stories but they all make sense. love the history stuff. she really knows history that makes shakespear make sense.
I remember when I thought I had no reason to go on and in one conversation this person changed my life. Thanks for the "rainbow classroom" Haygarth. You are truly the best teacher & not just English!
pleezzz come back to sf. wc is zzzzz without ya. besides i still owe you a lunch so get back here haygarth
this is the funiest teacher i ever had. didnt think history wuz gonna be fun but she makes pov history hillarius. =-)
lots of laughs in 3U. I loved her comparison to Snakes on a Plane. Funny. I hope you teach gr 12. SHE IS TOUGH but that's what happens when someone treats us like we're adults, I guess.
she's a good teacher, but sometimes i think she is kind of unfair. she made me get a late slip because she didn't hear me say "here" when i said it loud and clear. that was REALLY RUDE!
don't know bout you, but santa haygarth gave me 96% on my chapter charts. makes you do hard work but then she shows that she appreciates what you did.
haygarth is amazing! at first she comes off a little strong and unfair but once you get to know her she is hilarious, she explained R&J so well that i think ill take a Shakespeare course in university
haygarth rocks! 98 on my essay:D ahaha plus shes one of those teachers that makes you actually want to do the work.... and shes just so chilling!
finally a teacher who will help people and not make them feel stupid. she is always there at lunch and begs us to stop by. also makes romeo and juliet very funny even if it's a tragedy.
k, guys, its haygarth not haygrath, did you notice she stopped yelling when you stopped talking??? i'm learning more in gr 11 already than i did all last year.
