I knew even before going into his class it would be rough. doesn't teach. All he does is notes and once. learned absolutely nothing in his class. He goes over everything once and his tests questions aren't anything like the homework knowledgeable in Math but his teaching style is pretty bad. Bottom line is he really doesn't care. For me this course has been self taught from the internet and the textbook. I would of been better of it online. If you like math and are good at it drop his class.
By far one of the best teachers at merivale .
I thought he was going to be a scary teacher but know I like him. Makes weird but funny jokes. Know TONS about math and keeps teaching us cool stuff that's not in the curriculum. Easy class but with alot of homework but most of the time he doesn't check it.
Awesome calc teacher. Makes funny sarcastic jokes all the time. xD Super easy tests.
Cool teacher. His jokes are somewhat odd. But he's cool :D
A bit cynical, but he's a great math teacher. Marchildon knows his stuff inside and out.
Not true you guys! I never had Mr Marchildon for business but he is a great math teacher. He does start off very easy and does expect you to know some concepts from years before but hardly is he horrible. The guy likes to talk, but he does teach. If you have questions he helps you the best way he can. And he doesn't give up or run you off to read the text book. This man makes math work. MARCHILDON IS THE BEST
He's...interesting, and takes some getting used to... He doesn't treat you like little kids - homework is your responsibilty and isn't checked, notes are up to you to decide what's important to write down. Relaxed schedule, units aren't very formal. Interesting sense of humour too. Will eventually get annoyed at lots of talking... Just shut up and pay attention, and you'll have a good year.
Very lazy teacher. Goes off on tangents about history. How about teaching your subject, aka. Calculus? His classes can be deceiving. Starts off easy, tests are cake in the beginning - then BAM! Like a sledgehammer in the face. BEWARE! (Never get on his bad side ... usually ends in failing.) Very unhelpful too. Ask him to explain something simple like a difference of cubes - I guarantee your head will spin by the end. USELESS.
worst teacher i've ever had. walks out of the classroom every five minutes. talks about history more than the actual subject he is teaching. talks to much about his own life, your a teacher TEACH. really lazy too.
Clear about material, IF you have a good understanding for the subject. (Math or business). Very easily distracted, walks out of the room randomly, rarely admits he is wrong about the mistakes he makes.
Explains calculus well. Amazingly arrogant. Knows everything. My idol, if I were to become a teacher.
Well considering he taught us NOTHING and didn't prepare us for our calc exam (which Coke wrote)...thanks. I just lost my scholarship cause of you. Avoid his class at ALL costs.
he's funny , weird but interesting as well! his programming class rocks!
Had him for programming last year. He made the course enjoyable, however I found he did not teach everything that we needed to know for some programs.
this guy shouldn't be teaching...he should be making millions doing something with his math, computer, and history knowledge.
Great computer teacher, WORST math teacher, doesn't teach, really confusing
Knows his stuff, very smart guy, not afraid to remind us of it.
Only computer's teacher I've had who knows what he's doing.
Cool, smart guy, too smart to teach, go work for NASA, l
