Ms. Densford is an awesome teacher. She is incredible and amazing with her deep knowledge of English literature. She will drill your grammar but if you read Easywriter and really strive to be perfect, you will move on to communicating with her about the meat of literature which is the themes, motifs, messages, symbols... I really love her and she is very fair. Be polite to her and respect her. She genuinely cares about her students and is a very kind lady. Her class will make you fall in love.

A great teacher overall. Make sure your grammar is up to speed because she will point out every single error you show, she's like a machine. Try not to be late in her class because she will publicly shame you. Also, if you have a fieldtrip and you need her to sign something, be ready for a bad mood because she absolutely despises it. Aside from that, pay attention in her class and you should be fine.

she is from oklahoma she told me which explains her accent
she is very helpful and encouraging but on the down side even if you do not have a superb mark she will say that you will do fine which is not always true
LOL the other day i went to talk to her about marks she was like i cannot tell you that just yet you are only in year one but i can approve that you will get your diploma and go to the university you want and marry the woman of your dreams
awkward

She's a lovely lady. Very thorough with her lectures. Helped me a lot with grammar and syntax. She has a really good taste for literature. I have her to thank for my love for Shakespeare. Overall, my two years of classes with her were great.

I have never had such a rude, mean and hypocritical teacher in my life. Picks favorites and is very harsh she is by far the worst teacher at churchill.

Im really hating her right now. Like what everyone said, she gives mark not according to tests or assignments, but from her own impression.

One of the few lecturers at SWC I enjoyed. Extremely nice teacher, wonderful sarcasm. Says the most hilarious things. Predicted my IB mark highly accurately. Rarely got any assignments back so I still have doubts about my English ability. Loquacious, as she describes herself (accurately) Leave a good first impression, and you're in for an enjoyable ride.

She is by far one of the laziest teachers I've met. She acts as if she has done so much for us, she talks in circles and never gives back work. She's really sweet...but a teacher? Come on...

Um.. first thing comes to mind is mother hen. and then forgetfulness. Very very nice (when the class doesn't angry her).. and when she err tries to raise her voice, it's still like a library-voice, just more sharp. Very hilarious heh. Very few assignments.. err.. she's nice.. and.. okay-helpful (sometimes she doesn't get the point of your question). but.. where do our marks come from!?! is the big question.

mrs densford means really well and im not one to say that i dont like her, like a lot of people here. then again, we might just be the "favorites" that every one else is talking about...

The worst teacher i have ever had. She has a blatant bias in marks towards her favourite students, she doesn't ever teach, and she never marks anything of importance. Gives A to favorites and lower marks to anyone else.

somewhat easy but not overly. doesn't hand back a lot of stuff but i personally think the marks she gives for the report cards are pretty fair. it's nice how she finds a lot of contest opportunities for her students even though most of us never do a single one. she can be really unhelpful when it comes to misplacing a handout or forgetting some minor thing. otherwise she's an okay teacher.

i thought she was a really good english teacher! her style is different, that's true (assignments aren't handed back, very few tests), but i believe most of our marks are given to us based on class participation and the quality of our input. plus she's a really sweet old lady who really cares about her students. i'm going to definitely miss her, but i'm glad to have had her teach me IB english as she prepped us well for exams =)

8 years after graduating, I still think that she really cares about giving her students all of their chances to learn. I find it hard to read that some people think that she judges people too easily. Oh, well, I guess life holds some surprises for them! But be careful, because in your statements, you too fall into the trap of judging unfairly. An image is something difficult to understand, and very easy to ruin.

Ms Densford takes up approximately half an hour at the beginning of each class to take care of attendance and other "administrivia." Assignments are rarely, if ever, returned. Rarely any homework. Nice teacher though, but sometimes disorganized and always compresses the course schedule near the end of the year.

Her favouritism is digustingly obvious and she holds grudges. One time we had to write questions for this assignment I did less than half so accordingly I got less than 50%. Then 4 kids all copyed off eachother for that assignment and they got 50% each OMG. I should have said something but I was in Grade 8 and afraid of teachers o_0. Otherwise she's fairly clear and somewhat easy
