She's tough to learn from.
My experience with ms. Muir was not as bad as most people's, because I was smart enough to stay on her good side from the beginning. Nonetheless, she has the tendency to be unnecessarily difficult in her marking style and she brushes you off when you spot an error in her marking, which are two things I didn't agree with. Under her tough exterior however, she means well and simply wants her students to succeed in life.
An excellent teacher with vast knowledge on the curriculum she is given to teach upon. Although, like many complaints, she does have a certain way of expressing herself when it comes to teaching, but generally she enforces these things because her focus is on the accumulation of knowledge in which a student would receive. Anyways, she is a helpful teacher for anyone who is wanting to go to university, and I would recommend her to continue teaching the sciences.
Best teacher out there. Gr8 teacher, I R8 her 8/8 m8 no hate. Wish that she teaches gr 12. Freelo confirm.
Really, really boring class. Not a very good teacher and is really picky about how you do your homework. Says "Tip-to-tail", "ack-celeration" too much and likes to repeat herself.
Teaches stuff, gives assignments sure.... gives you a completion mark for almost everyting, completely ruined my exam studying with 5 pages of worksheets during MORITORIUM.
Mrs Muir is OK teacher. Hey guys, get real, if you want to do well at the university start be serious about studying !
I have no words for her...
She is pleasant, knowledgable, gives homework and demands to have it done.
Hates me for no reason. We had to redo both our labs because she told us to do it one way and then said it was wrong and made us do it another way. She's so picky about stupid pointless things.
Actually, Ms Muir is an alright teacher. Her class is pretty straightforward. She teaches the lesson, solves practice problems, then assigns hmwk. I do think that she can be a bit scary, so even when I have a question, I just ask other students instead.
To come to think of it, Muir is actually a pretty fair teacher. She marks easier than Corsini, but her clarity is lacking. This is PHYSICS none the less.
Ms.Muir is said to be a mean and evil teacher but for me she is ok. She might rush through the lesson and flip up the board quickly but she does offer help for students after class during lunch and her scariness actually makes me keep a binder for her class which i never did in any class before this one. She also doesnt accept work late or in the end of the class which i perfectly see why. She may carry an accent but its easily understood. Well anyways good luck because physics its self isn't ea
If she likes you, science will be easy. If she hates you, you see science the same ever again. Only problem is, she only likes a few people, and if your not one of the lucky selected few...
during midterms she tells us to drop the course even tho we can't. She tells us physics isn't for everyone.
ahhh I see you guys are mean....i just want to help you guys so that you can be better prepared for university....okay we'll see who is this tomorrow.
dropped her in 1st sem when i had the chance (didn't learn anything in her physics class). took it in 2nd sem and got her again. lucky me.
i dont care she is hard or easy~~~~ just want to say that she is a really mean person.....and that's it~
Ms. Muir is underappreciated. Her notes are great, and she is NOT hard at all if you really try in the course. She's also very encouraging and you can tell that she really wants to help other students
If you have her and u want to go into engineering, I strongly advise you to change ur teacher. Run to the vice principal and bring your parents along. Cry your heart out if until they change ur teache
not really that bad. If you do your work and listen in class, it's easy to understand what she's teaching and it's not like she's a super hard marker
LOL... all i remember is "tip to tail, tip to tail" when drawing vector graphs... so boring
well, i know she's rather picky, but at least her tests are easy. And she's very amusing sometimes...
truthfully she's not great. but do your work and review the notes, and you'll get an 80+ it's not hard. For marks, don't drop and don't hope for Corsini. Prospective engineering students should drop immediately.
strange teacher with mood fluctuations, tells u to hand something in and then never comes back to class, just leaves :S, never ever helped when we asked ?'s, doesnt teach properly, drop if u have her,
I've had Mrs. Muir for two years in a row. I can honestly say that I don't remember a thing that I've learned right now. I don't think I really understood the concepts in the first place.
she prepares you well for university because like the life in university, you have to learn on your own in muir's class she cannot make you understand anything
Her personality defines her way of teaching, that is not teaching a all or attempt to teach with no one understanding anything.
It seems to me she's improving, but not quite enough
you're 30 seconds late when she collected the portfolio, "Sorry dear, handed it in tomorrow the line is closed!" and when you do hand it in the next day, it's a level one at best.
doesnt know how to explain stuff...sometimes she doesnt even know wt she's talking....
Yes.. lots of homework ... but u get to improve your problem solving skills..she is also very nice and helpful if you listen to her and do your work..she rocks!
she is HORRIBLE PERIOD! I guess in her mind being a good teacher is to never teach and yell at every student everyday.
talks to the ceiling when teaching, not the students; is VERY rude to students when she's in a bad mood (WHICH IS VERY OFTEN), watch out.
Demanding, tough but a nice teacher. You will learn Problem Solving skills needed for the university. Enjoy homework every day.
@*&^#$&^@#%*&@#*^%&*$^%*&@#& NOT helpful, NOT clear, and she thinks she's funny...which she's not
