I'm sitting with my fiancée in Mauii, and we started talking about our experience at Dawson college 20 years ago. My Fiancée took one class where she explored water colour, and other painting mediums, needless to say she loved it. I took the fine art program and lucked out. Mike was my mentor & intensive teacher. Mike was the kind of teacher who'd coax out the best qualities of a student and make them bloom. In short, if any of you guys get a chance to study under Mike, 'drink deeply and enjoy'
i love mike. he's wonderful. he gives really great advice on how to make your drawing or painting more successful... says the nicest and most interesting things about students' work. has a great sense
helpful, lets you do your thing, but he does want to see that you have done work in between but he is soo easy
(color ll painting) great teacher !!! he's funny, easy going, and very helpful. a man who's very passionate about painting. don't outline using ur paint brush, or he'll "tred on ur toes" :P.
I had smith for 2d organization, I think he is awesome. We called him the Diva. Fair marker, doesnt run after the projects, u give them in when you are ready, works WITH the students and not against.
Had him 4 drawing from observation, so much fun! Learned alot from him and can now do a drawing in 5 min. Great teacher, and he sends you 2 some great new exhibits, if u can't draw it doesn't matter!
