He legit doesnt give a crap about any of his bands except for R&B and maybe jazz. I've been playing in bands & orchestras for 5 years now and he is by far the least motivating conductor I have ever had. He has no expectations of you. You could literally be on your phones or playing computer games and he wouldn't care. If you're a decently good player and you would like to get better at playing, don't sign up for his concert bands or orchestra. You will get nowhere.

This dude is legendary while playing the guitar. And when I say legendary I mean more legendary than Mr Sacoult's Bus Company. And that is really legendary. Mr Toth is TheLegend28. Mr Toth is like a really cool band player and a long time ago he used to be a legendary Guitar player in a Legendary Band just like matthew bellamy from muse. He is really chill. He absolutely loves to eat his hand whenever you mess up playing a piece. He is a great teacher to have.

He's a very good teacher, just give effort to his classes and for sure you'll be on his good side. I've had him as a teacher for four years now, I hope he would still be here until I'm in grade 12.

Worst experience in band in gr.8. I really enjoyed playing music but his class was the worst I ever had. No discipline, everyone chatting/being rude/doing homework/playing on cell phone etc. Does not really conduct, only seeing him banging a drumstick and trying to act funny. Easy to get a mark alright, but there are also classes where you learn things while getting high marks, and even our student teacher teaches better than him

not a very good conductor to be honest. in band class, he doesn't conduct at all and just smacks a drum stick against a music stand. in concert, he conducts with a black pen, but nobody actually watches him conducting since theyre used to having their faces buried in their music and only listening for the tapping. also, when he does a concert, the tuning note is only for show since he never actually tunes with the tuning note. oh yeah and *puts fist in mouth*

Good if you're good at band. Bad if you're bad at band. Bad if you're average at band. That makes him 66% bad.

A really great teacher to know. Really hip and with it. He's got a very strict mind set when it comes to music however, and the "less talented" people will rarely advance in class.
