She is a great teacher! She can however be intimidating because she has such high expectations. I sometimes feel guilty when I don't know something she thinks I already should. She knows EVERYTHING about the French language, French history, and French-Canadian history. She is the only teacher I have ever met who is sane when it comes to homework and doesn't overwork her students. She tries to make activities fun and clearly puts a lot of effort into teaching her students.
Madame is one of the best teacher's at Mackenzie, but she works you very hard. She's caring, nice, always offers extra help when you need it and makes french exciting to learn. She doesn't like slackers, however, if you're trying your hardest and still not doing well she will do her best to help you keep up with the fast pace of the class. This probably won't be an issue, as she explains things thoroughly the first time. Great teacher overall.
Madame will definitely remain one of the highlights of my high school career. She is such a caring and affectionate teacher who never fails to make you feel supported. Easily one of the most intelligent teachers at Mackenzie, she knows everything about everything and is very articulate in her teaching. She was honestly like a mother to me, always wanting the best for me and french class was like a tight-knit family. Je vous adore, Madame, vous me manquez! ♥
She can be intimidating but as long as you're good at French she'll like you.
this is how she works. if you are good at french then she will like you more. if you struggle then shes is tough.
She is supernice and a great french teacher. She brings a lot of insight into French language and culture. However if she does not like you, you might have some difficulties. She is also not vy precise with facts (whether in conversation or in assignmnets).
Mrs. Martin's classes are always fun. She's sweet, helpful, and knowledgeable. You learn a lot about French culture and application as well as grammar. The textbook is the primary source of grammar lessons, though expect to see newspaper articles and Movies with subtitles. Mrs Martin does expect quality work, so it is in your best interest do your work and be involved in her classes. Overall, she is an excellent teacher.
best teacher and sooo helpful. knows what she's doing. very interesting classes, demanding but fair.
Omg <3 Love her. Actually such a good teacher, and so understanding!
She's pretty good as a French teacher. You get to see pictures of stuff from France and watch movies with the language set to French (with English subs). She also asks for feedback at the end of each term, in the form of an e-mail or just a sheet of paper. As a side not, she doesn't seem to like politically/economically radical ideas (like mine), though that shouldn't matter for most people I imagine...
The best teacher eveeerrr....she is a professor and I am telling you....she KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING :D AMAZING TEACHER
I don't think I've ever met a teacher who cared more about the progress of her students.
She rocks!!! I love having french in her class!!! i learn so much new vocabulary. yee hooo!!!
amazing, the best french teacher I've had in my life. She brings the best out of her students, and actually cares about our progress
I had Mrs. Martin-Jordache for her gr 10 and 11 course. She was an amazing teacher and person. She's very fair when it comes to marking and has reasonable but high expectations of her students. She wants you to succeed and wants you to learn French. Above all she's very approachable, and makes French very enjoyable, more so than any French teacher I ever had. Very lenient with due dates, will sometimes extend them if she sees the whole class is having trouble. Exams are a bit rough at the end though, for me
She was the best french teacher I ever had! She helps you whenever you need it, but she can talk seriously sometimes.
She is really the best french teacher ever and one of the people with phD (and there are not a lot of techer like that). She is quite nice if you get on her good side, at least she was to me even though I did not always deserved that. She could be a little tough, but without that we would not know anything in french, besides she is reasonably tough=) where else would you watch so much movies=) I just want to say thank you for everything you did to improve me and I bet many more students feel the same way!
She's ok. She can be helpful, however can also be VERY annoying.
Cares about her students, and gives valuavble French lessons. Her accent and manner of speaking is amazing, and a good example to learn from. Does pick favourites, but is helpful to all. Likes to pick on students a little bit though... Knows what she is talking about! Depending on how you work, you will love or hate her... sometimes it changes over the course of the sem. HIGH expectations
Amazing teacher!Teaches things the fun way -- and its very effective too. She actually teaches things that we would use if we were to go to a french speaking area. She cares about her students and wants each one of them to enjoy class and do well. Everything is perfect about this teacher!
I love this teacher and this class. I learned so much the fun way!She does many things for us too -trips to Quebec, French clubs, dinners and theatre. She's kind, helpful and stylish. She can be tough, but fair. Thanks to her I plan on taking French through highschool.
Her class is a lot of hard work, but most of it isn't actually the usual manual labour, which is a relief. I learned soo much from her class (grade 12), especially since she's from France and has a Ph.D. Sometimes she goes too hard but she always balances it out by trying to ease the pain, lol. extends due dates at times, plans things well, etc. I think everyone in the class got 80+, but then again most of us were from MaCS/Gifted =P plus, there were only like 15 ppl. =)
she is a very good teacher, apperently better then Capozzi. yes she is slower in teaching, but that's only b/c she takes time to help students and actually teach, instead of loading them with work and giving them to the dogs. AND! students from her class overall got HIGHER on exams then students in Capozzi's class, SO THERE, SHE ROCKS
Hmmm, what to say, what to say... I went from absoluting loving her to absolutely hating her over the course of the semester. She gives less work, its true, but thats just cuz she saves it all for the last 2 wks of the semester. Obvious favouritism doesn't help it either. Smart, sharp lady, but very selfish and very lazy. If she spend more time actualling teaching well, rather then convincing us (and herself) taht she is the greatest, things may turn out somewhat differently...
The best teacher I met in Canada. Very interesting projects, easy and effective grammar explanations! I wish all teachers were like Mrs. martin-Iordache!
Intelligent teachers. Tries to make French more than just textbook work. Marks kinda tough but not too much work. Great teacher overall.
A GREAT TEACHER! She actually cares for her students. Shes helpful, fun, and fair. Very kind and she actually knows the french culture. Great teacher
She's a good teacher, leave her alone, she's doing her job right, and does extras for us too - Gordon
always complains about how she's tired too so u should pay attewtion, but gives u like 15 mins at the end of each class to do w/e u want
She does tell you a lot of extra information related to France, but she is very unapproachable unless you're her favourite.
At least she knows French and how to teach it!!!!!!!! She is helpful unlike Capozzi!!!!!!
Overall, not too bad, but she and I don't exactly get on too well. Okay? ;)
she's cool gave me so many chances best french teacher
She taught me so much stuff, and if i had the same material to learn with a different teacher, I would fail!!!
